Survey resulted in phone call

I did a restaurant survey, the kind where at the end they ask for you contact info in case you win the monthly $10,000. Earlier in the survey I had mentioned that I had an issue with the bathroom (toilets aren't supposed to rock or rotate around are they?) but I also specifically said that I did not need to speak to anyone and did not leave contact info in that spot. Lo and behold, I got a phone call from the restaurant manager saying that he had been informed of my complaint about his bathroom AND that I had mentioned this same concern in previous surveys (we eat here about once a month). He informed me that new toilets were soon to be installed. Okay, fine they are fixing the problem. BUT I thought these surveys were supposed to be anonymous unless I asked for follow up contact. Obviously not. It bothers me that (1) they know who I am and (2) they can contact me even if I have requested not to be contacted. Surveys evidently are not as anonymous as we think they are.

It depends of course on the rules, which sometimes are so dense it could be hidden. I generally don't enter surveys unless it's really, really reputable, but I too don't like getting calls like that. Of course, that's why I have caller-id, so if I don't recognize the caller then they can speak to my special assistant and leave a message
