Taking the Day OFF

I faithfully enter the dailies. Schedule them in reminders on Gmail, but sometimes you need a breather. Sunday will be mine! I have so much other stuff to do, accomplish, and this is a full time job! 4:30 AM to 8:30 AM, so I can have a life! Waiting for the one big win! Just need a day off!

I enter about the same times haven't had a good month at all and was thinking a few days off would do me good. Hope u enjoy the break :sunny:

I took the day off as well.I played a couple instants this morning, then said the heck with it.Went shopping and made a big Sunday dinner for my immediate and extended family and we just spent the day together ,instead of me on the puter. It was nice! Now,if I can get my house clean tomorrow it frees me up for the rest of the week! Enjoy your day off..I did!

Since the quickest path to burnout is to push yourself to the point where you dread entering, taking a break is necessary! :crazytongue:

Besides preventing burnout, it can have the added benefit of changing up your timing! :headbang:

 Yep, I learned a long time ago that the earth doesn't stop going around just because I don't enter for a day or two. They are all there waiting for me when I am ready for them. When I go on vacation, I don't even give it a second thought except to check my email every other day or so.

I have been entering sweepstakes since 1973.If I did not take days, weekends and once in awhile a week off, I am sure I
would have won one of those white jackets that tie in the back by now.

I have to admit that I have not taken a day off in over 5 months, but I may sometime soon! I have had days I skipped a few sweeps or just eliminated a whole site of sweeps though. :)

It took me a few years before I took a day off - I'd skip some stuff, but I'd enter something every day - we took a short trip for our anniversary and I found the world didn't end, so now I usually skip at least 1 day a week to keep my sanity intact!

Like Bruce, I do NOT want to win one of those snazzy tie-backs!!!

I was put in one once - after surgery, I tore out my IV's & catheter {ouch!} and crawled under my bed and went back to sleep :crazytongue: When I woke, I was in a bed in a straightjacket and I had to go *really* bad so I freaked out {claustrophobic} blacked out, and came to sitting on the pot with a nurse screaming at me.

This was in a VA hospital, and they had moved me to a room across from the nurses station, which were for the men, so my "pot" was a wheelchair by my bed with a bedpan in the seat. :crazytongue:
