Received this email today:

It has been determined that you have solicited votes for your Style Statement Board on a general public blog/forum, please see attached, which violates the official rules of the contest. Per the official rules, participants who spam (send unwanted email or electronic messages) or create false accounts for the purpose of casting votes will have their votes disqualified and their submissions may be voided and the Sponsor may disqualify any vote or Contest Entry if Entrant or related parties violate any of the terms and conditions attached to the Sweepstakes or these Official Rules.

I feel a little annoyed because I feel like the contest is accusing me of cheating, which I would never ever do. I read the rules at the start of the contest and nowhere in the rules did it say that you could not exchange votes, it said that you cannot spam or create false accounts, but I didnt do either of these things!

For me, its more the principle of the matter than anything else..the rules do not forbid asking for votes on forums/blogs, so it is unfair to disqualify people for that.

Thank you for confirming that I am not a crazy person and that the rules are unclear :)

 I hope they at least apologize since they set the ground rules, and if LOTS of people were DQ'd, that indicates even more that they erred! :nono:

 You are so NOT crazy!!!
