*UPDATED* Winning email - questioning it

I recieved an email stating that I won the Monk Mobile Madness - Week 5 and that I had to call the guy to answer 2 questions for him to "qualify me". It is from a Jim Brychell from The Promotional Edge out of Culver City, CA... the reason I question it, is becuase when I went back to the sweep via the search and re-read the rules week 5 was picked 9-21-09...it's a season of Monk or a Tshirt, that type of stuff, so maybe I should just let it go?

I got my nerve up and called - (I wasn't sure if it was legit) since he sent me a 2nd noticed and said that they would move on today if I didn't call... He asked me - 1. do you or any member of your family work for NBC/Universal 2. Are you a US Citizen and 3. Is your birthdate XX/XX/XXXX and I WON!!!! Seasons 1-7 of Monk and a Tshirt!!!! I thought it was only 1 season but this is SOOO cool - thanks for the advice/info!!!! I'm glad I called!

Being notifyed 4 months after a sweeps end isn't all that unusual. If you call, just don't give out too much personal info.

The Promotional Edge is a legit company, as I have dealt with them before with trip wins. But, that doesn't mean that someone couldn't use that info to commit fraud. Proceed with caution, but I'm sure it is fine.

My friend received a call for this contest last week. She did not receive an email because she played the mobile text option. The caller asked if she had entered the contest and said she may have won if she answered 2 questions. The 2 questions were "are you a us citizen?" and "are you 18 or over?". She said the prize would arrive in 3-6 weeks and she was given a contact number. She is not a sweeper at all but a big Monk fan and she did play the Monk text contests quite frequently.

Hope it's legit for you both.

Well maybe I will give it a call today... I just wasn't sure - thanks for the advice! :laughing:
 
My friend who won via text was also told it was seasons 1 through 7 and a t-shirt. Congratulations!
 
I won a 3rd place prize from Nautica Sweepstakes. It ended 10 2009. I was so surprised when I got an email this month when I won. Ya never know because someone could have won a prize and that person may have decided not to take the prize, moved and offline, etc.. It takes time to get all things done and I understand that with my life.

Got my clothes today and I look so NICE! I bought a jacket from the Mens since I did not like the ladies and was afraid it wouldn't but awww perfect for the season here now. I can wear this to a special event for me coming soon. Will post that win when I can.
