Using the words "sweeps" or "contest" in username/emails
Hi everyone...im new to the site and been sweeping for about a year now. I have had a few big wins (two trips) and also lots of smaller wins like gift baskets, jewelry, tshirts, etc.
I was reading this FB post a while ago and it got me thinking - wondering what you all think and would suggest here? Do you know of any vendors/companies that might reject a winner or potential winner bc they have the word "sweeps" or something like that in their email address? I have an email account just for contest and it does have "sweeps" in the name, so it got me to thinking.
It would be pretty unethical for a company to do that, but I would also hate to be looked over or miss out on a win because of my screenname, twitter handle or email address!
Do most people avoid those words? Is it worth changing everything? Or in your experience is it typically a non-issue ? Thanks so much , this site has really helped me so much these past few weeks!
