vacation/trip wins

If I win a trip/vacation prize, and I can't use it, is it feasible to sell, or give it to someone else without violating anything?
 
Not likely...the plane tickets and hotel are normally booked by a fulfillment company. In addition, most rules don't allow transferring a trip prize. In other words the winner must be present on the trip. The rules also usually say the prize would be forfeited if you do not take it.
However some trip sweeps give you vouchers or gift cards to purchase the trip or offer cash instead of taking the trip.

Yep some rules may allow you to transfer but most don't. I won a trip that required me to leave THAT week, which just wasn't possible so had to forfeit although I would have loved to transfer to my parents. Now I pay attention to the travel dates for the trip, some are REALLY strict or very soon and I just need a bit more time to plan for a vacation and get off work!
