What do you do with little wins you don't want?

I wrap them up and have a grab bag for the kids on Thanksgiving and other family parties. Most of the kids have gotten a t-shirt from me. :sunny:

I either just give them away to someone who can use it and/or my husband takes them all in with him to work, and he leaves them with the girls in the office for any of the employees who want the stuff. Posters are big with the kids of employees.

I do something similar - all the prizes that are for younger children (I have 3 nieces) get put into boxes and after they open their gifts, they get to go through the boxes and pick out what they like.

My BIL usually snags all the hats

My SIL made out last year - she got all the appliances I won - she especially liked the Chocolate Sweepstakes & Giveaways fountain!!!

Hats go directly to my dad, shirts (depending on size) go to my brother and nephew, cosmetics to the ladies in the house, toys I save for friends with kids. Everything else is divided up according to want or need so nothing ever really gets tossed aside.

Goodwill is good ...Or there's always other charities that can use the items rather than sell them. Things like toys, woman's clothes, cosmetics can go to Battered Woman's Shelters. Warm clothes especially, tolitries etc can go to homeless shelters. Office supplies to schools, summer camps (many operate on extremely low budgets so that kids can afford to come), and other non-profits. Churches/places of worship can use the toys in the nursey (especially hard ones that can be washed). Toys can also go to Children's hospitals. Winter clothing, shoes, boots, etc can go to schools also. I work in a school and our nurse is trying to get donations constantly so our kids are appropriatly dressed (94% of our students live below the poverty line)

Or you can always sell stuff on Ebay or trade it. If anyone has an item they can't think of a charitable place for let me know!
