What's the biggest Instant Win you've had?

I'm curious what is the biggest instant win prize you've won? I don't mean you got a winning email, but one where you're clicking along and all of a sudden it says you won!!! The biggest I received was a Target gift card for $1,000. I about fell over in my chair and then chanted "I won! I won!" about a million times while dancing around the house! :)
 
$3899.00 from the Sealy Posterpedic Diamond Anniversary IW back in 2010. This was a diamond necklace worth $2999 and it came with a check for $900 to cover taxes. Still my biggest win.
 
I won a trip for four to Boston from Oreo a few years ago, but couldn't go due to scheduling problems. Won it on a Saturday afternoon.

It ended up being a downer though - first off, I didn't think it through, and I mistakenly thought they gave cash in lieu because some winners had posted they got a check instead of a GC.

Turned out, it was because their choice wasn't available where they lived, and since I'm in Las Vegas, *all* of them were available, so Halls refused to give me a check!

I asked my mom if she would buy it from me, because I knew she used maids, and she did offer to buy it from me - so I went ahead & accepted it.

She changed her mind - she prefers hiring freelancers I guess.

So here I am, over 4 years later, and every time I'm reminded of this win, I get a bad taste in my mouth, having had to pay taxes on an unused win! :mad:

Thanks for sharing everyone! You all have some incredible instant wins. If I'd won $5000 instantly, I think I might need medical help :) That is so exciting!
Sorry to bring up a bad memory Amy. I bet someone might offer for that handyman service, have you tried that?

Yep. I even tried to sell it to a local Merry Maids franchise, figuring they could somehow charge it off/run a promo for their clients since I'd sell if for half. She declined.

Oh well, I learned a life lesson - don't be greedy/pay attention to the rules/don't let myself enter *just* because it's an IW when I wouldn't enter a regular sweeps giving out the same prizes! :p

Hey that's no attitude to have! Cheer up and think positive! I always remind myself- if I feel like a winner, and think like a winner, I'll be a winner. I haven't won any huge amounts yet either, but notice I said, "yet". :)

IW's are the MOST popular category, & some sweepers { ie, like me :p } will try for prizes they'd pass on if it was a 1x/daily/some other type instead of an IW! I've started applying that - "would I still enter if this wasn't an IW?" and so I hardly enter any now.

My point is - don't judge your IW win/loss ratio if you want to stay a sweeper, because you'll get so discouraged you'll burn out!

I started treating DP/WP/MP like they were/are IW's:

DP/WP/MP {Daily Prize/Weekly Prize/Monthly Prize} type sweeps notifiy winners and/or give out prizes during the sweeps instead of weeks or even months after it ends!

Most DP/WP/MP sweeps are daily entry, and are usually through Facebook, but they can be any type of entry frequency and the platform can vary, so I use Daily Prize, Weekly Prize & Monthly Prize as my search terms to find them, and since I'm a PLUS member, I can put them in my IW category.

yeah, I appreciate your thinking, i have never won any sweepstakes, but it does not matter, maybe the next big award is me.;)
 
My biggest instant wins were either an Ipod Nano from Bic or an ipod docking station from Att Uverse.... until this last weekend!!! I about fell right over when I had an instant win screen from Schwans! It just told me that I was a winner and to put my shipping info down. I was thinking GREAT... a $25 gift card for Schwans! WE LOVE the Schwans guy at our house! I submitted my info and BAM.... Congratulations, you won an instant prize of a $500 Schwans gift card!!! Whooo hooo!!!! My kids are already picking out their favorite flavors of ice cream! :)

Oh, I'm green with envy!!! We can't afford them so I've been trying to win fom them for YEARS!!!

In fact, the IW that gave out hourly prizes {and told you when they won so you'd know you *just* missed it} that I've mentioned was the one that was my turning point sweeps & started the idea of the Sweepers Credo {because the same people/family won every dang day!} was from Schwans!!!
