When you win a large prize (as in big in size)?

Do they ship it? or do you usually get a giftcard?

I won a patio set, grill and sitting set and can't imagine how it would get here. I mean that would have to be shipped in quite a few massive boxes. I've never won anything big (in size or value!) so I'm curious how this will work.

Sent my notary signed letter back so I'm waiting (and jumping lol)

To answer your question like a lot of things in sweepstakes it depends on the JA and sponser.
Some send gift cards other send the products.

Which sweepstakes did you win? Many times in the rules it will say weither the prize will be rewarded as a gift card.

Thank you for your response. I read the rules that I have (they sent with my tax forms) but it says nothing, just that the brands are at their discretion.

It is the 2012 Smartsource summer sweepstakes :)
 
I haven't won anything that substantial yet, but they should work with you... you may get a UPS notice and just have to be home when it arrives, or they may work through a local store and have them arrange delivery. If you have a contact you're working through with the affy, you can always ask.
 
deerwalker is correct that it is sometimes at their discretion. About 13 years ago I won what I thought was a small size exercise stair stepper. I was totally surprised when a big semi and trailer pulled up to my house. I told the guy that I would come out to get it and he said that there was no way that I could ever carry it. I said it's just a stair stepper isn't it? He said "No, it's a complete home gym that will fill a 10x12 room!" He proceeded to unload large box after large box of this gym into my garage. So you just never know. You may soon see a big rig pull up to your house!

I got no notice by email so today I got the mail with the affidavit to have notarized and was SHOCKED.

I was the grand prize winner in the 2012 summer sweepstakes by Smartsource. Valued at $4950 includes a gas grill, patio set and outdoor seating set. Can't wait to get it, hubby is over the moon over the grill!

I won a huge backyard playset and chalet (playhouse) from Backyard discoveries in December and they sent it freight, so a big delivery truck brought it to my house ( not assembled, they just dropped off the pallets).
 
Thank you, I'll be looking for tractor trailers :D LOL! Very noticeable since we live in a residential area!
 
Congratulations! Yes, I won a man cave from Sears and a Large delivery truck pulled up and two men unloaded the 10 big boxes.
 
gift cards a cool....BUT...you'll never forget the sight of a huge truck, with big men unloading many huge boxes....oh what fun!!!

:wave:I just won a washer dryer combo from LG and they delivered it without problem I love it. It is on of those all in one one so it is very cost eff and it's an energy saver.
