where are all the winners?

I wonder what's going on here? Do you think contests have changed? After Dec. 31st, do the amount of instant wins go way down? Wow I hope this isn't permanent and everyone starts winning soon!
 
It's been a horrible 2 months. My wins for November and December were a $100 Cooking.com GC from Bird's Eye (there was a glitch in their game),1 sm french fries, 2 enchanted calls, 1 small can of dog food, $25 GC from Fabulous savings and $25 GC to NBAstore. This is total wins for two whole months. I have never had a dry streak before that lasted more than a couple of days. I'm glad you started this post because I had noticed that there are alot of members posting long dry runs. I play everyday too and rarely miss a sweep......Also, when I post my wins it logs me in as pinkbunny44 for some reason. This is the login I started with but changed it to tigerkitty when I noticed there are already a few bunnies in here.....Don't know how to get it changed..... :wave:
 
I thought it was just me. This is the longest dry spell I've ever had. It's been months since I won anything but was happy that I did win atleast something. What is going on I wonder?
 
I haven't won anything in a long time too. I'm amazed at people posting they won more than once on the Nabisco sweeps.
 
Whew - thanks guys. I'm sorry there are others in my boat, and that it's just not me. Although, I wish you were winning at least.

Sweeps have definitely changed. I've noticed the only ones in the dailies lately are madberry, intouch, etc., and I love those....but I need some new stuff! Where are all the dailies with 1,000 winners (ie Sunkist Almonds). There are rarely any new good ones. Even many of the one entries are just the same ol' stuff.

I wonder if the economy is making a difference. I have a feeling that companies will be scaling back their promotions (on sweeps at least) and maybe focusing more on advertising?

So maybe why we're not winning is because there really isn't anything that good out there, and when there is we are all trying so hard for it (more competition). Also, even most of the one entry sweeps only have a few winners these days, not lots and lots :cry:

Also - where are all the instants? There used to be 4 or so added a day. Lately it's been 1 new one every other day or so. Hopefully the companies are waiting for the new year to launch new instants.

Any ideas on my theories?

I am hoping for a great new year with lots of new sweeps. I am going to give it through about March and see how many wins I have (if any) and I'll wait to see if any come in from this year....if there's nothing, I think I'll have to say goodbye to sweeps. I've spent so much time on them lately. I'VE NEVER HAD A DRY STREAK THIS LONG (months).
 
With the state of the economy & so many companies going out of business, I think they have begun scaling back like you said, also with so many people loosing their jobs I'm guessing more people have stumbled onto sweeping like I did. It's kinda like having a small pond with a lot of fish now & once you win something you're hooked. I've been sweeping since April & won some awesome prizes enough to cover 90% of my Christmas list. I'm work FT now but take my laptop to work & sweep on my lunch break. Definately addicted!!! Hopefully, the new year will bring an abundance of new sweeps.
 
looking forward to 09 for sure. :laughing: while it hasn't been completely dry for me the wins arent what they used to be for sure. when all is said and done my wins total arv for this year will be half of what it was last. I think there are more sweepers and fewer prizes. Big prizes or sweeps with lots of decent prizes are few and far between. Lots of sweeps for coupons and small items. Those are good too dont get me wrong but it would be nice to have some bigger prizes thrown in.

It was normal for me to hit atleast a couple of instants a week now its more like a couple a month. :cry: I just keep telling myself next year will be better...
