Where did good sweeps go.

I guess it all depends on what each person wants to win whether it is a good sweeps or not. Personally, I think there are lots of good sweeps going on right now. I have to admit, I didn't find many in today's offerings that I liked, but that is rare, for me. And to me it seems like the number of sweeps is on the rise. Maybe the economy is coming back a bit.

Just added some great sweepstakes 1K Gift Card, 10K Cash, Many Trips, Diamonds, etc.

I find a lot to enter but I have to bypass the ones that I don't understand. I am 60 years old and some of this new stuff is just Greek to me. CD's by groups I've never heard of; cooking utensils my mother never told me about; and then there are the ones I just can't afford to win. Like ski vacations (ouch). I find there are lots of sweeps that are geared for people younger than me and I guess a bit healthier.
That's all right. The next time I see a Dolly Pardon rocking chair up for grabs, I'm going to go after it in a big way!

I've noticed a huge increase in the amount of sweeps, and quality of prizes in the past 6 months. I think things are definitly picking up again.

I guess it all depends on what you want to win.

I do have to admit though, I am a bit tired of seeing sweeps running for 3-6 months and the prizes being a candy bar or box of cereal.

I'm entering 100's of great sweepstakes everyday. Plus, compared to 12 years ago when I started online sweeping, there are by far more sweepstakes and bigger prizes now.

I have had luck with magizines won..I guess I dont see some of what I used to enter. Thanks for the great replys.
I have bad spelling.

There have been many sweeps posted recently with a trip as the prize. Very few have a cash option, and that's frustrating. Millions of people out of work who can't afford to go on a trip, yet the promoters keep sponsoring them. What's wrong with a cash option, even if it's for a fraction of the trip ARV? Let the winner decide to take the trip or the cash option & I suspect most would opt to take the cash. There's also those who for various reasons can't go on a trip.

As with any sweepstakes, a person has to decide if the prize is something they want, need, or can use. I love the trip sweepstakes and have won eight of them so far. :headbang: There is rarely ever any prize that has a cash option, but there are sweepstakes where there is a cash prize. There is something for everyone which makes entering sweepstakes even more fun. :)

lidarkside - 8 trip wins! That's great, how did you do it?

Just by entering them diligently. I don't enter nearly as many as I used to. We don't mind paying for extra seats on the plane for our children, but a lot of sweepstakes are event-related. It was one thing when our daughter was born, and we could just put her on our lap at a show, concert, race, etc.; but now she's too old, and we've had a son since. So, we wouldn't all be able to go to a specified event like a NASCAR race or something.

A cash prize is all well and good, but people have to remember that sweepstakes are usually offered as a means of promoting a business, product, event, etc. :)
