Winning a car without a license

I haven't had a license in years, but I've recently been caught up in sweeping and I started thinking "If I win one of these cars, will they let my wife claim the prize or will I have to have my license or lose the car?"

Now I know the odds are narrow of winning a car, but if I did I would want to either keep or sell it. I'm thinking of going to get my license just to get to claim a future prize (As well, we're actually planning a big trip across the country, so that's the real motivation, but the car sweepstake is a concern) I thinking though I might end up tomorrow making an appointment that I won't be able to get a test until mid-Jan or even later in Feb or March and there are a lot of Car Sweepstakes happening at the end of December.

Does anyone know if I win before getting my license if my wife could claim the prize or is it only the name on the form first name including that can be the only person to claim the prize?

I will answer : IMO:

You are probably setting yourself up for a big disappointment if you happen to win -AND- you don't meet the eligibility requirements.(driver's license required)...

That is a good question, but I just cannot see an administrator going against written legal rules (for any prize)....

Oh yeah, in every prize I have won in the past that requires an affidavit there has not been time for correspondence with the administrator, and sometimes some of them aren't too prompt in replying (lol)..

You have to send the information they require and pretty fairly quickly to claim the prize.

Of all my numerous readings of the forum I have only seen a couple times where the administrator awarded an cash option when not listed, tickets, or a prize that someone was late in claiming.

My best thought is their reply would be: "PER OFFICIAL RULES." (which would be very bad of course if your eligibility is in ?).

If they bend the rules if someone happened to win, can you just imagine the endless numbers of people who might claim they also owe them a prize.

If it were me I would wait until I was eligible, and only if the rules enabled me to enter....that way there would be no loophole for them to question you.

GOOD LUCK....!!!

thanks

again i was planning on getting my license again for a trip i'm taking next late summer but started thinking I need to get it asap

I must have entered a good amount coming up so im racing to get my license ahead of time in case lucks strikes

anyway

Always check rules because some will say "...eligible as of {} date" which often precedes the promo start.
