Won a 3 day,2 night trip to Reykjavik Iceland !!

I just got an email asking if I was going to accept my prize of a trip to Iceland from URB.com. The contest ended on Sept. 1 and they say they sent me a notice on Sept.10th ,but I never read it ( must have gone to junk mail or I thought it was junk and deleted it.) So, the person that I'd like to bring with me has a passport ,but I don't. Anyone know the fastest way to get a passport ? I've got just over 3 weeks nad I know that the normal send in the app. through the mail takes FAR longer.

As far as the passport thing goes, for an extra $70 they can expedite your application, but even at that you will be lucky to get it in 3 weeks. Don't waste any time get down to your local Post Office or County Clerk's office tomorrow so you don't miss out on that great trip!
 
Congrats, i really hope you can get a passport in time. I know the prices just went up and they take a long time...

Re: Passport. The fastest way is to go to a regional passport office and get it the same day. (I had to do this once ... drove 4.5 hours to get there and then had to wait all day and then drive home! Pain in the butt!! But it was an emergency!)

You have to call and make an "appointment" for a specific day if I recall right.

Try for the passport ,I applied for the heck of it with a cousin of mine and did the expided one it arrived in two weeks and wasnt going anywhere just though I would apply Hey its worth a shot ENJOY !!!
 
Thanks for the info. and link izzblizz !! I used it to get the instructions I needed. I'll be able to drive to CT and get my passport in plenty of time to take this trip. Right now I'm in NH finishing college to get my degree while my husband and kids are back in FL. I've been homesick, but working hard in school and this will be a very nice break. I'm won't even miss a single day of classes. I'm lucky to be bringing someone who will pay for everything that's not included in the prize. My only regret is that I can't bring my husband instead,but he's happy for me and can't wait to see the pictures and hear all about it. This prize is supposed to be worth $2300.00, my biggest win by far. Words just can't express how much I love this site and all the great people who make it so very special !!
 
I believe they will truely expidite the passport IF you take with you verification that you are actually scheduled to LEAVE.. it wil still cost you the extra $70 or so

if you go to your local state departments office they might be able to get your passport within 24 hours,they did for me!
