Won a Sweeps they claim I did not send email

I am about ready to cry! I thought I followed all the rules to the letter. I won a prize value at 1200.00. Rules stated that I was to send a reply email within a specified time. I did. I have the reply emails I sent to the company. It is, like all emails dated and time stamped. They claim that I never sent the email. Isn't my copy proof? I remember reading that they not responsible for technical difficulties in the rules somewhere. But, if that is the case then there are about 35 other people who's emails probably did not "make it" either.

I sent all the appropriate proof that I was required to send by certified and return reciept. They acknoledge recieving all of that.

Are my email copies proof? I have never won something so big and I was really excited! They swear up and down that they have had the tech people check and of course, there were no emails from me.

I don't understand this at all. It stinks! This has to do with a tv station so...the fcc would take a complaint...
thanks for listening....any advise would be appreciated.
 
:wave: Wow! I am so sorry to hear about that big disappointment. I have never heard one like that before. Usually if they receive the paperwork in the time specified everything is ok. Sorry I am not any help but feel your pain. :cry:
 
Thanks for the replies. I recieved a fedx package with 1 package of microwave popcorn, a waterbottle and some kind of toy thing that looks like a box of popcorn with their logo on it. How sweet! Not! far cry from my legit win. I am not going to let this make me think negitive of Sweeping. However, I am going to file formal complaints with the appropriate agencies.
 
I am glad to report back that I just recieved a phone call and my award of 1200.00 is going to be here within the next few days. I did file with the FTC. I am glad they did the right thing. Who knows, who goofed up or if it was really a marketing ploy...for what ever reason, they did do the right thing and that is very encouraging! In all fairness I will update my complaint that they followed through. Thanks SA!
