I am superly pissed off right now. I won the texaco instant, and won a pack of gum. They said print it off and take it to the texaco. So I did that. I walk in and pick out my gum, and take it to the counter, the "barely speaking english guy" says what is this. And wouldn't give me the gum. Had no idea what the coupon paper thing was. And kept saying "a dollar something"
So I got really upset, went to my car. BTW this all happens when I have my 4 yearold with me, and she is saying, "MOMMy wheres the gum"
So I call the number on the paper, I sit on the phone for 15 mins until they finally tell me that the texaco is privately owned, and they are probably not aware of the promotion. HMm but there is a big freaking sign in there window. So I get really mad, and go back in there, and tell him he needs to take the dumb sign down if he is not going to do what it says.
He gives me the managers number. So get in the car, and on my way home I'm still crying. My 4 yearold still wants the gum. I am really pissed, they shouldn't have these dumb promotions if they arent going to do them. And a freaking pack of gum they should just give it to me. The guy said he didn't know who was going to pay for it. Thats why he said no. I don't know but I am really mad, and don't know what to do.

Wow, all that trouble just for gum! I sympathize with having the child in the car with you. Wait until tomorrow and call the manager. He may have to go to Texaco and give you the gum himself but you should get it eventually. Maybe try another Texaco station around you too.

Thanks. Well, I live in jacksonville, fl, and this is the only texaco station I know of. I guess I will call the manager later.

It will be alright. calling the manager is a very good idea. What until tomorrow when you arent so upset. They should give ya the gum. :smt019

ok, update, I called the manager, he said that he knew they were having a promotion, but he didn't get the paperwork yet , he said it will start next month. So I guess just come back next month. I am still going to write the company, because I think thats stupid, to start the promotion, and not let every store know about it.

I can really sympathize!! What a nuisance to get caught up in things like that! We should not enter that contest after this upset that you had.

Sorry you are having so much trouble claiming the gum but just keep taking it to texaco stations ( look in the phone book and see if any more are close. )

I would tell that manager you are not buying gas or anything else from them anymore if they do not honor the coupon. :smt019

:smt009 Good greif! That's alot of trouble to go thru for a lousy pack of gum. I sure hope they make it right after all your trouble.
