Thanks, I did not realize how hard it is when you can't enter everyday. Or you attention is on other things. This is a business for me and I depend on my sweeps for extra income.

Ours went out for just a few hours and I was about to die...I can't imagine being without it for that long. I have been hearing some nasty stories about places without power, food, and gas ~ hope all is well where you are!

That's us, I had a plan-thanks to God. Those who did not have enough food stored up or did not have anyplace to go have it bad. Dialysis patients were sent to the Dallas Ft Worth area.

It's a mess, the street lights don't work. Houston is bad enough when they do work, I wouldn't put a vehicle on the street here without lights for nothing.

We have been blessed tho, some parts of Galveston were wipped out. Those people have no homes to go to.

Some people had not insurance at their apts and the roofs caved in. I feel like telling them, put the beer cigarettes and drugs down and pay $20 per month for rental insurance.

Yeah, well, you may not want to tell them that LOL It wouldn't be fair to them. They don't deserve what has happened. No one does.

Hubby has family in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and they are fine. I'm happy for them :sunny:

No, I would not tell them that unless they were constantly coming to me asking for help. My church and other churches in the area always helps them, even if we have to pool resources. Some of us have come to depend on others for so much until we don't realize how to help ourselves in some cases.

:sunny: So happy to hear that all is well with you! Now go win something big to make up for the sweep time you lost!! Best of luck to You!

Gee, I thought I paid the electric company enough so that they would make you the last customer to have the power restored! So much for winning! :cussing:

Kidding. Glad you are back in business. We are so used to the modern comforts, it really is miserable when we don't have them.

Welcome back and wishing you many wonderful wins! :headbang:

Oh my goodness I wish you had said something I may have been able to send something to you. Our power went out on Fri. at 7 before the storm even got here and it came back on at 5 in the morning. I know it's a mess pretty much all around Houston and surrounding areas. Here in Katy a lot of roof damage and fences down. Also some leaky roofs.

But we were blessed. No real damage accept the roof shingles down and a couple fences down.

I'm so glad you are ok.

Cin, Katy is where I evacuated to (been here eight days and going home this morning). Get this, my insurance company paid me by accident, I know it was confusing to everybody and it was an honest mistake. I thank God for it, but if they want it back, I will let them have it back.

Since it was not a mandatory evacuation for me, I was not suppose to be paid.

LOL I got a check from my insurance yesterday but it's for some reimbursement. Now that I have filed a claim it will go up. Shoot everyone's insurance will go up no matter which one you are with. Ours went up after Katrina and you know with all those claims being filed now it's going to raise everyone elses rates.

Glad you are ok and have power back.
