I started entering contests/sweepstakes and joined SA in October. Im not even sure what made me think of entering contests, as I have never dutifully entered any in the past. Graduating this past May and struggling to find employment, my joke was, The chances of me winning a contest are as good as getting a job, so I may as well have some fun while Im searching. Well, guess what?...This past Monday I was notified that I won a great prize. I am the first prize winner in the YahooMovies.com - (Facebook) Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 Sweepstakes
"You've won a trip for two (2) to the premiere screening of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 in Los Angeles, CA (the Screening). Trip package includes round trip, coach-class air transportation for two (2) from a major airport near your home to Los Angeles, CA; two (2) nights' consecutive accommodations at the Omni Hotel, or a hotel at Sponsors sole discretion (single room, double occupancy, ground transportation to and from airport and hotel; and two (2) tickets to the Screening on November 14, 2011; You must travel on November 13, 2011 and return on November 15, 2011 or prize will be forfeited. This prize has an approximate retail value of $3,699. Congratulations!"
This is very surreal and exciting. As much I daydreamed and hoped to win a great prize, it is still wonderfully surprising. I should also mention that this was a Facebook contest. Im not a social networker, but kept on reading the contests only available to Facebook members. So last week I decided to create an account solely to enter Facebook contests and it paid off. Also, this contest continues with instant prizes and the Grand prize of a new car (thats what I was hoping to win!). Im not in the running for that, but enter because somebody will win and it could be you.
