....Wanna pack up and leave sometime? Like..... just say, "this is it, i've had it, and we are gone" ......... I felt the way many of times, but in the end, could you ever just really "pick up-n- leave"? and go where you never thought of ending up at..... I don't know if I'm that strong... but.......................... i've thought it

yep I actually have done that. :laughing: We did that after 3 hurricanes in 6 weeks and my husband and I looked at each other and said that's it! we are done. wasn't sure where we were going to go but knew we were getting out of FL.. sold our house, and moved to IL.. It was a great decision.

Why is the song from Beverly hillbillies playing in my head? :laughing:
 
Yes, Champ, this weekend and again yesterday until we got our power back @ midnight. Ever smell a toilet that hasn't been properly flushed or cleaned in 2 days? :laughing: Yeah, that'll do it.

But to be serious, we did that in June 2007. But we didn't end up in one of those fancy places above. I had no idea at the time but we had moved directly into the bowels of hell. Stayed 3 months and moved back :laughing: I'm done moving. The grass wasn't greener and in fact we didn't know how well we had it until that move.
 
About eight years ago, we sold our home of 22 years and bought a piece of property (2.5 acres); we lived on the property in a small trailer and built an ag building. Then we lived in a 500 square foot area of the ag building while we built our home; did that for about a year and a half.

Now my new home is built – and we did it mostly on our own. It is gorgeous and I love it. What a great adventure it was.

Yep! There are times that I swear that I am just a thread from just running away...not telling anyone ~ just going. If it wasn't for the kids and hurting my Dad and my sister, Karen, who knows what I would do...

Good thing I am so well balanced huh? :crazytongue: :laughing:
 
Quite a few times. I did pack up and leave my past behind to move to MS in 2006, well thought I would leave my past behind but, it kinda followed me some.
