Not being confrontational or anything. Just wonder why there are so many new members posting wins? Do they come here specifically to post about wins or have we just not heard from them b4? I saw something about new members requesting votes, and I get that. But why would they come here just to post wins? :scratch:
 
there are many people who enter sweeps as guests and not members for years and after winning some prizes decide to be members after reading posts of others wins and by the results of there own wins and most just like to share there wins because others have. I myself entered sweeps from this site before actually joining and started posting mine after seeing others post wins. :sunny:
 
It takes some people awhile to maybe work up the nerve to post. We cant all be little chatter boxes :laughing: Lots of members never post in the forums but just sweep. Some just pop in to post wins. I actually wished more members would post their wins.
 
Check their profiles also. You may be surprised to find that they are not new members. Like "3mnkids1" said, they probably aren't big mouths like the rest of us are and either don't post or rarely do.

There has also been a rash of newbies joining this site lately, I think that is a good thing! I belong to two sweeping sites and enjoy them both.
 
Other than congratulating a member on his/her $100 Best Buy gift card and then proceeding to tell him/her that I had won one also(from a different sweep), I don't post my wins. For me, it's a combo of superstition and modesty. I'm afraid that if I post a win(particularly a big win)something bad and beyond my control may happen like Fed Ex loses it, sponsor won't want to replace it, and then I'm SOL. And there's also the "bragging biatch" factor...although I love reading your wins, I'm not sure you want to read mine and I don't want to come off like I'm rubbing your face in it. Weird, I know :crazytongue:

But rest assured, if I win hubby his LCD TV I'll post that win in code :laughing: :whistle:
 
I always love hearing about people's wins. It keeps me encouraged.

I know my first post on the forum was regarding a win. I wasn't bragging - just thought it was a good way to join in. Hopefully we'll be hearing from lots more winners! :sunny:

I don't post all my wins, usually just ones that I am excited about or that wins haven't been posted on.
 
I think I posted on the first day I joined and haven't shut up yet :laughing: I'm sure you guys have noticed ~ but it is like you guys are my family and I come to you all to gripe/vent and celebrate along with my favorite...just be silly :crazytongue: Not everyone has my sparkling personality though :laughing: :laughing: :laughing: :whistle: Ya know, if I can't think of something important to say, I will think of something totally off the wall...just anything to spend a few minutes here with my SA family :sunny:

I hope a lot of our new posters will join us down in the forums and start playing also...I like our community. I think we have something pretty special here :cheers:

I became a member here in 2005, but I never posted until the beginning of 2007.

I wasn't actively sweeping in 2005 and 2006, then in Jan. of 2007 it became an everyday addiction
for me!

As for the new posters, we all had to start with our first post here once!!

I like to see wins from everyone new or old timers!!

Who else but a fellow sweeper won't look at you like you are nuts/try to convince you it's all a big scam to steal your identity? :laughing: :crazytongue: :whistle:

I don't post my wins over $100. I've seen sweepers do some ugly things trying to get folks DQ'd and such. Very sad.

of course I'd have to have a win OVER $100 to not post but... oh well :crazytongue:

I'd even settle for one of those right now! :laughing: The first year I started sweeping, it seems like I won a gazillion music downloads. At least they would get me through the dry times. Now, not even a measley discount! :cry: I miss the good ole days of inky's.
