Ouija Boards

Are they real or just mind made-up? Have you ever played with one and if so, what were your experiences? I personally never have....

I believe that they can be used by evil forces ~ ie. demons, forces, spirits, or whatever. I think that whenever you open yourself up to that kind of communication that you can't control what comes through and sometimes you get more than what you bargain for!

My Momma always told me to stay away and I always did except for once. I was at a slumber party and my friend had one and we decided that we were going to play, well something decided it wanted to play back. Like to have scared us to death! The little palette thingy was a buzzing around the board! It was spelling out names and answering questions...my friend's Mom came down stairs and almost died! She made us put it up immediately! I found out in those few minutes that I believe that there is something to this thing...and I believe that it can be used for evil. Just my opinion...you guys can pick me apart if you want or call me silly, I'm sorry! I think it is bad and I won't have one in my house ~ ever!

I think that things can happen anytime you meddle (sp) with death and spirits no matter what source you use. Whether good or bad, I don't know. It's funny you should ask this, I watched my White noise DVD today and was thinking about all this sort of stuff once it was over.

I too have played with one at a slumber party. Now, this was like 20 years ago but I still am inclined to believe neither one of us girls(the two of us bold enough to play)ever made that thing move on purpose. It was answering yes or no questions and spelling out stuff but can't remember if they were scary answers or not.

My luck, if I tried it now I'd end up dying with that horrible look on my face like in the Ring.

From what I've heard, people always say that these boards do work and that un-clean spirits use it as a gateway to come in.... I'll see if I can do a search on them and come back with some info... Thanks all

That's the look I have everytime time I get the "Sorry, you are not a winner today" message!

I used to play with one as a kid but when it started getting too freaky on me I threw it out. I believe we can invite evil spirits in through many forms and they will start to influence our lives. I think that board can be a doorway into the human world.

I know it sounds crazy to say this but my belief is if you believe in good spirits like angels then you need to realize that the evil spirits are real also. They would be demons.

Just my opinion. That board would move on it's own and would say really vulgar things. I knew it was evil.

LMFAO!!!!!!!

Instants are as evil as ouija boards!!! :cussing:

I knew it was evil

As serious as you may have been, that made me laugh a little  I am trying to understand why I would even have messed with a toy(more or less) that could have been potentially life-threatening. I must have been one demented little girl

I used to play with them at slumber parties, but it would inevitably end up in one of those awful 6th-8th grade fights, because we would ask some stupid question like "who does joey like better?" and then some girl would accuse some girl of pulling the thing towards their first initial, and then "you are cheating, and he likes me better than you!" and then some girl meltdown, crying, etc. I guess it was evil in that way!

Is it only girls who play these stupid games or boys too?

Oh we also used to do stiff as a board, lite as a feather with like the lights turned down. No one ever actually floated, we just broke down in laughter usually.

We'd do that too but we also played Bloody Mary or whatever it was called. I used to think eh, Bloody Mary my a$$ until I saw an episode of Ghost Whisperer back in October...now I'm just grateful Bloody Mary was either too busy or so unimpressed with me to claw my eyes out

i don't know the bloody mary game. slightly remember if you looked in the mirror in the dark, bloody mary would come out?

Something happened in my house last summer. I came in from work around midnight and the kids...ages 32, 14 and 18 and my hubby were messing around with an old ouija board they found in the back of a friend's store. I was skeptic when they showed me 4 pages of things "John" had been saying. I asked John if he would talk to me and the pointer thingy moved to yes. I was the only one touching it and I was touching it lightly. The night before I had seen a man watching my house from across the road and I asked John if he had seen him and what was he doing. John spelled "hurt". Me: Was the man going to hurt Kalan? (age 14) John: "Hurt all three". Well, that blew me away because I had 3 kids hanging out in the back yard when I saw this man. I also asked John if he knew Brandy. John: "Dead dog". WHOA!...This was true. Brandy was our pet dog for 15 yrs and she died 4 years ago. Then Kalan said: John, is there anything else you want to say to me? John: "Yes" Kalan: What? John:"b-r-o-w-n-i-e." I'm thinking huh? Then Kalan jumped up yelling brownies!.and ran to the kitchen to take the brownies out of the oven she had forgotten......The Ouija board is now hid under the bed in the spare room.........lol

I also read up on Ouija Boards online after this happened and found out that if you place 3 silver coins on the board it will ward off evil spirits. Hubby and I tried this and no spirits would talk to us. We're thinking John was a bad spirit trying to gain our trust.

there, there, completely me.....just keep a rabbits foot in your pocket with 3 silver coins, wear a four leaf clover bracelet, a big cross around your neck, a silver bullet in your other pocket, pinch of salt over your shoulder, don't break any mirrors, walk under any ladders, sweep cobwebs from your house, open an unbrella inside your house and by all means NEVER step on any cracks or lines in the sidewalk and you should be good........ :sunny:

by the way, I noticed we have another pinkie and bunnytoes so I am now tigerkitty.....roar!.......lol
