Annoying news boxes....

:cussing: The new people.com headline news box at the top of the forum page is atrocious, and must go! That stupid ad box takes up nearly a quarter of a webpage. Why does SA continue to bring in all these "news" items....first the News Bots with their constant news postings over every little news item. Boooring! Now we must be subjected to a huge box showing headlines from people.com? Geez...
 
I've not noticed until now. I personally don't care either way, but I most likely will not be reading it. I have the attention span of a gnat.
 
:sunny: I like them too! You won't see them in every thread. Only when you click on News or Entertainment. There is a Daily Bible verse box when you click on Support.
 
Visually, I don't like them, but it really doesn't matter to me either way. I just a scroll down the page. But, I can see where some would find them annoying.

The box isn't really huge and not much bigger than a banner. Seems more people like it than not so it will stay. Its not in every forum either. Only news,support,entertainment and jokes.
