This is the craziest thing I've ever seen

Oh my gosh I sure hope you aren't planing on climbing that mountain. That is just insane.

The pictures actually made my stomach get that tight feeling like I wanted to throw up. Panicy feeling. Gives me the creeps.

Oh, heck no! You'd never catch me near that place unless there was a food court at the bottom.

 I'd go for the sceenery.

Oh yeah! Insanity at its finest right there! You think the pics are scary, read the entire story! This man takes you into the center of terror and places you in very uncomfortable, horrifying positions. I got up twice and walked away while reading it

One of the most interesting pieces I've ever read, Dark. Thanks so much for sharing that!! Now I'm going to go puke up breakfast

People are craaaazy  I wouldnt be able to do it. I couldnt make it up the stairs at the beginning. It is very pretty though.

Oh, I agree. The scenery IS amazing. And I'll be more than happy to be amazed by it in pics or postcards or video...but not from WAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYY up there!

Yeah, it's a very compelling read. I'd have had a heart attack or two when the guy in front of him slipped on the ice and then his wife did the same thing. That and the wind almost blowing them off the mountain. And to top it all off this is a two way trail! How can they manage that much two way traffic on such a crazy trail? I think I'm going to have to find video of this. There's gotta be some somewhere.

I would have went in my pants and then had the heart attack(s)! I'm still trying to figure out how they put planks into the side of a mountain and the dug out the footholes  Heck, all of it!

Post the video as soon as you find it! It would be better than any scary hollywood flick that's for sure!!

Okay, I read the letters section and there's a lot more information there. The plank thingy turns out to be a side thing you don't have to do to get to the top. Just a scenic overlook you can choose to do by buying a ticket. There are several more pics and lots of clarification on the new safety stuff they added. Still. This looks like a pretty crazy climb. There are some videos there too that is worth checking out.

Nope ~ wouldn't be no way I would ever do that...no amount of money anytime!! That is just CRAZY!!

Of the videos, this one was my favorite

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72rN5zO2T7A

The supposed best of the bunch has been yanked from youtube for violating terms. The one above is fantastic, though! It shows the watcher the danger from different angles. Nuts!!

Oh c'mon, Tammy  This would fill that adventure void

Uh huh. See that part where the skinny little trail is in front of him and he points the cam over the edge on the left? Yeah...that's about the spot where they'd be placing flowers for me after my 'unfortunate demise'.

Been to tai Shan, have not been to Huashan.

David just looked at it and smiled big time. I am sure we'll be going there one day. He does rock climbing and so does our one son. :nono:

The rest of us will take the tram up and wait for them.

Oh man that mountain is insane. Tell David and your one son to reconsider lol.

I'm drooling over that already.

Our son is too young to do any serious climbing. I have taken him to REI and a few small places to go climbing. I prefer not to use very few ropes so this place looks like we'll add to the list.

I only started a few years ago in college and love it. It's an amazing sport.

I am going to learn skydiving next spring.

Mi said he needs the valium
