I'm trying to find out the name of a movie. I believe it's from the '70's. Passengers board a plane, the windows are covered, the passengers find out that they are all flying to different destinations, and finally realize that they are all dead. The plane lands on an island with a hotel...

Anyone, anyone!

I dont know but you can go here and ask.. http://www.imdb.com/board/bd0000001/threads/ you might have better luck.

Death Proof ~ B ~ I was in the mood for some tarantino last night. Kurt Russell is a really good bad guy in this. He also has some hilarious parts. The movie is kind of like a throw back to the old 70's movie only with more profanity. It is a tarantino movie after all.

Its broken into to two parts. The first part is my least fav. I don't care for the girls and its kind of boring. The second part is better. The girls are cool and it moves at a good pace And it has a great car chase scene. If you like tarantino you may like this If you dont or dont like weird movies.. stay away.

Oh wow! We were just talking about Kurt Russell last night and the best movie he ever did, "Escape from New York".

Snake Plisskon, now there was a bad arse character. Too bad they failed miserably on the sequel.

Star Trek ~ A ~ loved it!. I was a little concerned when I first heard of the cast.. specifically karl urban as Bones but I was pleasantly surprised. He pulled it off. The entire cast does a great job with these characters.

If you are a die hard trekkie you may have issues with this movie. I cant go into details because it would spoil it but I can say that they take some liberties and kind of rewrite history so to speak. It didnt bother me. I like that they have opened this up to a whole new generation of fans. Its got a great, mostly young cast and it works.

It is a whole new look at the enterprise crew and I hope a bunch more movies.

 This past week, I watched:

The Day The Earth Stood Still -- bah! Hokey!
Terminators -- this movie was NOT related to The Terminator series. Even the Sci-Fi channel wouldn't show this piece of trash....
Eagle Eye -- very good movie! Lots of intrigue, and constant action.
War Games 2 -- not a bad movie, for a sequel. "Ripley" is the deadlier, newer version of the old WOPR from the original War Games movie.

book of blood~ C ~ Pretty good horror/ghost story.. It had some really freaky moments that made me jump.

Plot~ A paranormal investigator finds a house that has had some really strange things happen. She, along with her equipment guy and a clairvoyant decide to rent the place to get some proof. Turns out the house is a intersection on one of the highways of the dead.. buhwahahahaha.. sounds kinda cheesy I know and the voice over at the beginning was bad but it is worth watching.

It does have some gory moments.

Big Trouble in Little China was good too. Although Jack Burton is no Snake Plissken ("I thought you were dead, Snake")

The best movie... The Thing.. for sure, hands down.

The gay bed and breakfast of terror.... I just added this one today. It sounds like it might be hilarious. ~ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0815165/

now most of these have really low ratings at imdb.. good thing I dont pay attention to those kinds of things. has anyone seen any of these and were they good.

The fam & I went to the drive-in this weekend to see this one. Two weekends in a row... I am really living the high life!

I concur with your assessment. Purists will tear it apart probably, but I am not a die-hard Trekkie and I loved it.

 I love the drive in. Do they do the double feature at the one you go too? They havent started it here yet but come summertime they will. all 5 of us get to see 2 movies for 27.00.. well 4 of us. The little one never makes it through the second one. :sleepy:

what did you think of wolverine?

Yes, but we very rarely stay unless it is something we are dying to see. I just can't stay up that late anymore! Plus the hubs has a long drive ahead of him because of his job and I would rather he didn't fall asleep at the wheel the next day. It is $15 for the 4 of us (they don't charge for the baby) but it ends up being close to $30 with snacks... I cannot resist their cheesy fries, I think they put something addictive in them! Sometimes we bring a cooler with our own drinks and snacks, but we didn't this time... usually in the summer we bring the cooler and the fold-up chairs and sit outside the car to watch, but it is just too cold yet.

I enjoyed Wolverine but I was disappointed with Gambit... he has always been one of my favs but he barely played a part in it. And I thought it was a little cheesy at the end (again with the cheese... sheesh!)... how he lost his memory and the "Easter Egg" in the credits didn't do much for me. I don't know if you saw it, and I've heard there are different ones depending on which reel the theater has. But, I liked getting the back story and I loved Hugh Jackman. I'm going to watch it again when it comes out on DVD.

 That was my only complaint about the movie. Gambit is a great character and should of had a bigger role.. not only that but omg he is hot!

Better off dead~ A ~ one of the best 80's movies with john cusack. Its hilarious. I hadnt watched it in a long time but my oldest boy came home from school saying one of the lunch ladies asked him 4 times yesterday for the lunch money he charged last week. and I thought... geez, its two dollars..TWO DOLLARS.. and the rest is history.

body of lies~ B ~ leo dicaprio and russell crowe.. A very well written, smart film. I normally wont watch movies with dicaprio but he was good in this. There was plenty of action but the story is the main focus of this film. Lots of twist. I was impressed. If you like smart action movies you should check this one out.

Parasomnia~ F ~ I watched this early this morning and when I decide to come here and post about I realized I couldnt remember the name of it.. Thats how bad it was.

Its basically about a woman who has some rare condition that causes her to sleep all the time. She is only awake for brief moments. A guy falls for her, because you know that seeing a basically unconscious women in a hospital bed is such a turn on  in addition to that there is a crazy guy in the room next to her that can hypnotize people with his eyes and get them to do what he wants. These two people are connected... somehow. Does this make sense? no? well, the movie didnt either. Avoid.

Narcolepsy?
That disease was prominently featured in My Own Private Idaho. River Phoenix kept flopping over....Of course, it had symbolic meaning and all that there :)

You want to see a GOOD movie about a woman (two women, actually) in a Coma check out
Hable con ella ("Talk to Her")

Freaking great movie! I mean, its an art film but if you've seen Bad Education then you know how Almodova rides, the man is insane (in a good way)

I PM'd you a youtube homage to Feed. Not suitable for public consumption (PUN!)

OK, just finished Dracula 2000. Yawn. All Gerald Butler's best lines, and actual acting, were in the deleted scenes. Which meant the last part of the movie made no sense as it was cut. Butler should've punched the film editor in the face a few times...
