Every day, with my nose pressed against the window

Every day, I see the UPS and FedEx truck go by my house, up to the dead-end, turn around, and go flying past my house to their next stop. I stand, with nose pressed against the window, wishing, hoping, then being disappointed. Oh, my soul!

I know what you mean, but I compulsively walk by my front door and peek to see if there is anything on my porch...many times a day.

Cheer up! That just means you are getting closer to it stopping at your house! :)

The other day I had UPS pull up, park, get out, grab big package and proceed to walk past me standing in my doorway right to my next door neighbor. Dang!

Sign up for the UPS delivery notification so you know when a package is coming. I think Fed EX has it too. Then when you get the notification the night before you can have all the suspense till you figure out what you won !!!!!

vickiburton - the visual I got!!!

If I were in your shoes? I'd stay away from the window and blast the stereo/tv, so if they DID come to the door, it would be a total surprise!!! :crazytongue:

I actually thought this was very cute and provoking the visual, as Amy said...I feel like that, even if I don't literally have my nose against the window! LOL

So funny, I think we might be related as i too watch for that mailman, UPS and fedex delivery every day like a hawk. Unfortunatley most days they just zip up our little culdesac and zip on by our house. :sunny:

Yup! Plus, you don't get your nose bent out of shape.

 :crazytongue:

i've been sweeping for years...and am supposed to be too cool to watch for those surprise deliveries....NOT SO MUCH...i think the delivery guys consider me a groupie!!!

I visit a Disney forum all the time and one of the most popular threads right now is about the One More Disney Day contest. So far, there have been ten winners picked that have reported in on that thread. I keep waiting to see someone post here at SA about winning. (I would love for that person to be ME. :) ) It is funny reading what all the folks are saying about anticipating the FedEx delivery truck. But I'm just as bad, and now even my husband has been opening the front door to see if there is anything waiting for us.

I am always looking on my side porch to see if a delivery was left and I didn't hear the knock. I get the alerts from UPS so I know when they are coming, but FedEx can still sneak up on me ( and I don't mind!) And my mail lady probably wonders why I am there to greet her in the driveway on many days ... in fact I rarely let my husband walk down to the box to get the mail because I want to know FIRST!
