OK everyone I am about to go get my first massage. Professional one that is. For my birthday I got a one hour massage so tell me if you have had one How great or they?
 
I hope ya have a good time . I have never had one. I got a thing about strange people touching me :nono: Im so bad about it I even cringe when they show a commercial about becoming a massage therapist :laughing:

Yeah I'm a little nervous about that but I am gona do it because I always wanted one.
 
I've never had one but have always wanted one. The only thing that concerns me in getting one is that someone would have to drive me home because I would be so relaxed. :laughing:
 
Last year, my husbands mom gave him a GC for a massage. So we all went to the appt. Well while he was getting a massage (by this cute women). At first me and my daughter sat in the room. I was really uncomfatable. And kind of jealous. It was so wierd. The lights were all dimmed, and there were candles. She wasnt doing anything really bad, just rubbing his back. But it was so wierd. Well my 4 year old. Was real hyper, and she crawling under the table, and looking up at my husbands face (you know they have the little hole where your face goes). Well he laughed, and made us go out.
Well about 10 mins later, my daughter kept trying to run back into the room. Meanwhile the lady was getting aggravted, because that wasnt helping. But I really didnt care. It was so wierd, I just wanted it to be finished.
Ok i know im immature, and silly. Well if any of you do decide to get a massage, dont take your kids, and dont take your wife.husband.
 
OK well I went and it wasn't as good as I expected. I mean honestly I think my husband does a better job. One time I had a massage in the mall. You know in the center of the mall well it was a 20 minute massage done by a chineese woman and man that massage was great. I did feel so relaxed but today I was disappointed. Maybe it was just me but I was not impressed. :cry:
 
I have $275.00 in spa gift certificates. I was thinking about doing a massage, but I really prefer my husband to do those. I don't need hair done and don't do nails or pedicures. Now, I'm not to sure about doing the massage thing either. Any suggestions on what to use these on all at once. :scratch:

I don't know what other things do they offer? Maybe get a bunch of massage oils and relaxing music and some candles. Aroma therepy. Do they offer all this stuff with these GC'S?
 
I know you can use them on products. I was thinking also a facial. I don't know how far these will go though. The closest place I can use them at is in the Hamptons, and everything is over-priced there.

:laughing: That would be something. I'd probably get thrown out anyway. If one of those "brats" was in there, I'd really tell them what I think of them! :crazytongue: Then I would be banned for life!! :whistle: Heck, with my big mouth I'd be telling them all what I think of them!! :popcorn:

Extremely overpriced!! I had a $300 GC and decided to buy some products. I think I walked out of there with about 8 products. If I were you, I would sell it or trade.

I have to see if they have a website and if they list prices. The one $250 certificate expires at the end of January.

I couldn't use my GC online...had to physically go to the store. Maybe yours is different tho.

That's why I think I'll go with just buying the products. The Hamptons spas seem over the top with doctors, holistics, acupuncture, yadda, yadda, yadda. I guess that's to be expected given their regular clientele. I would just stand out!! :laughing: Ooh, but if the Olsen twins were there, I could buy them something to eat!! :laughing:

Massages, done correctly, won't leave you feeling violated. I've had lots of massages. I've gone to a male and a female. The massage therapist SHOULD do their best to make you feel at ease and allow you leave on as much clothing as you feel comfortable with. A lot of the places now have not stone massages, which wouldn't require any touching (if you aren't comfortable with that) and is very relaxing. Pamper yourself, enjoy. You only live once.

LOL...I wasn't talking about the massages, I was talking about the over-priced products they sell. Getting only 8 products for $300 will definitely make you feel violated!! Sorry for the confusion.
