Chartreuse (pronounced /ʃɑrˈtruːz/, /ʃɑrˈtruːs/; French IPA: [ʃarˈtʁɶz]) is a green color that was named because of its resemblance to the green color of one of the French liqueurs called green chartreuse. [1]

The web color chartreuse is the color precisely halfway between green and yellow, so it is 50% green and 50% yellow.

The complementary (opposite) color of chartreuse is violet. Chartreuse is the most visible color to the human eye.

Which would explain why my figment is visible to all! Chartreuse it is! :headbang: (Sorry Ping!)

Great Bunnytoes, you take a perfectly confusing thread and bring it right into the gutter! :nono: If you don't play nice with your O's, I will make you play with Chartreuse Amy! :headbang:

Funny, I was thinking that not only does the color sort of look like baby vomit (hence the increased visibility to the human eye), but chartreuse compliments the smell as well....

Well~ Amy you will alway be indigo to me! It is pretty!! And it doesn't smell!!

Some of nature's most complicated chemistry takes place in the shoots and leaves of the tiny, unassuming periwinkle plant.

MIT researchers studying the flowering plant have now figured out how to manipulate those complicated biosynthetic pathways to produce novel compounds, some of which could have pharmacological benefits.

"Plants are really nature's best chemists," says Sarah O'Connor, the Latham Family Career Development Assistant Professor of Chemistry and co-author of a paper on the work in the Journal of the American Chemical Society.

I didn't know there was a periwinkle plant! How neat!

Okay, okay...I got it! How about magenta (which is the name of one of my favorite characters from Rocky Horror Picture Show)? Or puce? :crazytongue:

As long as I'm NOT pink, :cussing: I don't care

Alright little missy!! Exactly what do you have against pink? Pink happens to be my favorite color. I even went so far as to dye my hair with pink stripes one year. I'm talking HOT PINK also. I thought my kid was gonna have a stroke. *GASP* The horror and embarrassment. I love getting the little dork back.

OK, now I am picturing Amy in a bustier in the Rocky Horror Picture Show! Thanks Sticks!

Magenta it is! :headbang:
