They actually called me while I wasn't home informing me there was a "mistake" and that although I DID win a trip,however,I did not win the Honda..talk about crash and burn!! BUT, I have the email that says I won..so I guess we let the attorneys duke it out!! Sorry to bust all your bubbles but mine got popped too!! Thanks guys for all your support anyways!!!!

How do they make that big of a mistake?? Wow.....what a let down although a trip is good - at least let's hope!

I'm sorry to hear that :( I did read in the rules that you have to go on the trip for your chance to win the car, but I can't believe they didn't take that into consideration when planning the win notification!?!? :cry: I hope you get it all sorted out and that you end up with the new car!!!

I actually posted the email I received from them.Really sucks!! Got so excited and then let down..big time !! I know if I take the trip I am 1 in 5,but still... gonna send my winning email to HONDA themselves and let them make a decision.It's not fair to get that and then be let down!! Thanks all anyway!! Power to you ALL winning!!

I just read the original email - yep, they flat out said you won the car. Wow - what a HUGE mistake. I'll be interested to see how Honda responds.

I bet 5 people are disappointed right now. They probably sent out the e-mail to the 5 winners. Sounds like Honda should be giving away 5 Pilots.

Big time teaser!!!! I read the rules and was confused myself at how you won...thought (hoped) maybe it was a rules mistake and not a mistake in notification. I know it's easier said than done but don't dwell on it.

Prizes sometime come with complications. I won a trip to India which was supposed to be paid for by a travel agency. I talked to the agency once. They sent me brochures and informed me it was a 3 day trip. Most trips to India are 2 to 3 weeks. There is 2 days of traveling each way. Traveling for 4 days and staying for 3 days was odd. The trip only included air fare and hotel. 1 month after winning the trip, the travel agency went out of business. By law the advertising sponsors are also responsible. I had a lawyer send letters to the travel agency owner, a radio station, a tv station and a movie studio teling them they had 30 days to respond or further legal would happen. The travel agency owner's lawyer sent a letter that I only had a month from the time I won to take the trip. Therefore the trip was voided. The owner was probably afraid he was going to be sued. No such documentation was provided by lawyer and there were no printed contest rules. The movie studio rejected the letter while the radio and tv station communicated with each other. The radio station offered me an all expenses paid week long trip for two to Jamaica which included lots of spending money. I even had money left over after the trip. The radio station never reported the prize and I did not pay taxes. This worked out but it was a big hassle. Good luck whatever you decide to do. You can always send correspondence to someone high up in the company and see what kind of response you receive.

:cry: Wow, that really is a shame that someone really goofed on sending you the winning email. The rules will probably be the deciding factor to this ending unless Honda sees fit to award a Pilot to all 5 of the participants. Did you receive a notification after sending your affy that your verification was complete? What surprises me the most is that they notified you so soon after the ending date on the 25th. Try to think positive and pick the right key that starts the Pilot at the ballgame. Good Luck!

While I am awaiting a call back from the guy that totally ruined my day, I am hopeful that I sent the email to right person on the totem pole ( IDID post this win on THEIR (HONDA) Facebook) along with my "phone call" from eprize" saying it was a mistake.I really appreciate all your good thought and wishes and comments.If I have to go to PA..which is like 4 hours away and I prefer to drive,then so be it,but I really hope that HONDA will do something,so that no other person receives a prize "error like I did!That is so wrong..and now I will crawl back in my hole...lol!!

It's not over til it's over! You still have a great trip ahead of you and a 1 in 5 chance of driving home in a new car! That's still really exciting. You know we are all rooting for you and feel your pain for the big mistake!

Okay..I just decided I'm going to go on the trip..beat up all the other winners in the hotel,take their keys,and drive home in that Honda anyway..lol!! Just kidding!I'm actually going to beat up the idiot who sent me that email if I can get my hands on him!! Ha-Ha-ha! Trying to un-stress myself a bit! from now on I gues I can't get too excited about a win till it's all said and done..live and learn...what a lesson this was!! Power on people..go win those prizes!!

if its ment to be you'll win it good luck and sorry you had a problem. i really don't think a huge win like that should come in a email I get so many it could get deleted to easily or be sent to the wrong person

Aw, that is the worst prize notification snafu I have ever heard. I had read your original post the other day and was really happy for you. The Pilot is a cute car. Well, like others have said, you still have a one in 5 chance, those are pretty good odds. Keep us posted!

Wow, Eprize really made a huge mistake! 1 in 5 odds of winning? I've got a good feeling for you. Go get that Honda!
