Thanks to this site, I found a sweepstakes for $3k in car repairs. My truck had some long overdue repairs that I would normally fix myself, But Ive been injured and have been temporarily disabled until I get fixed up. So I entered. It involved a little work... submitting a youtube video of what I needed done on my truck. I am a firefighter/ EMT that sustained a bad injury. I haven't worked since December 2014. Ive undergone many operations and I have at least two more. I will be spending this summer in a hospital for months. It's been very hard and finances have been tight to say the least. On my way back from a surgeons office after being told that I need yet ANOTHER operation, I was a little down. Then... My truck broke down. I pulled off the road next to an electrical substation. Then, suddenly, part of the substation BLEW UP! Sparks and flames shot 20'+ into the air. As most of us would, I asked myself first... what the heck is up.... lol.... then how will I pay for this.... lastly... What next!?! The next day, I put my truck in the shop to get estimates on the repairs. I stressed all day and evening about it all. Later that evening after dropping off my truck at the shop, I checked my email. I received a "Congratulations, you won a $3000 auto repair from Carlister.com". I thought... this has to be a joke and cant be real. I called the next day and confirmed.. it was real! Stuff like that doesn't just happen... things happens for a reason! I am very thankful. I really needed the help. My truck is now all fixed up and the bill was paid in full!!! Ive given selflessly all my life... often putting my life on the line. I never expected anything back in return. The satisfaction of helping others was usually enough. I must say, it was nice to be helped in a time of need. Thanks Sweepstakes Advantage and Carlister! And of course... thank you Lord!

Congratulations! What a great win, when you really needed it. Sometimes when thing's aren't going well, we wonder how much more we can take and God steps in. Wish you great health from your operations and thank you for the job you were doing. You help countless people in their need too.

Congratulations! What an awesome win, just when you really needed it, and thank you for your service!!!

Congratulations! That was a very touching story and again that was a great win for you when you needed it most.

Congratulations on a timely win! As a former deputy, I understand about the service being enough. Thank you for your career of selflessness and good health and healing to you!

My goodness! This is the most heart warming win post I have ever read! I am SO GLAD you won! You're right- the Lord moves in mysterious ways. Heartfelt congratulations to you, and I know your surgeries will be successful!

You know, when I broke down, I remembered the ol "In all things give thanks"... I said "Thanks"... chuckled to myself... but really meant it. Living by faith is neat.

Thanks Vicki... yeah, I'd imagine you know what its like. I thank my law enforcement partners all the time for working with us. I really appreciate them. Can't wait to get back to it! Take care.

I learned over the years not to even stress in the worse of situations. Well, maybe not stress as much anyway. I have learned through many experiences that living by faith is REAL! I have a friend who is not quite a believer... he often says to me "You always seem to pull through the impossible... what's up with that?". I repeat my faith story. This win (Second thing I've ever won) is nothing compared to some other life stories. Ill save those for another forum. Funny story about the only other thing I've ever won... the first thing I ever won was 2 ski lift tickets from my local YMCA... right after I got ran over.. lol. I gimped in to accept my prize... and re-donated them. Take care!
