Affordable Services?

:wave: Hi Everyone: I just got a call from Verification Group at Affordable Services. A lady told me I won either a ford sweepstakes Escape, a vacation, $2500 or a TV. I was kinda dumbfounded and didn't really ask any questions. She just verified my city and marital status and said I was gonna be in the pool to be drawn for those items. So I called back to ask what sweepstakes it was and the same lady told me that mine was about 60 calls ago and she didn't have the info in front of her any more. Anyone know anything about winning from this company? I can't place which sweepstakes had those prizes except may All You magazine. But their second level of prizes was $2,000. Any answers please?

I hope I am wrong but it sounds kinda fishy to me. I have had calls like that before and it ended up they wanted me to buy something which required my credit card number. I really hope this is a real win for you because all the prizes are great but just be careful and don't give out any info other than name address and phone number just in case. If you truly win something good they will have to send you and affy, and remember .... a win doesn't cost you anything ... no shipping charges etc. (there are a couple I have seen that say winner has to pay but it is stated up front in the rules). Be sure to ask for a copy of the rules before you give out your info.

:wave:Thanks Judge. Yes I read up quite a bit before I even started "sweeping". Shortly after I started some nice young lady called and said I could win a basket full of .... and then she said I had to purchase something. So I said "Oh no no no. I don't buy anything to win a sweepstakes". I will supposedly get something in the mail from this Affordable services. So I'll have to wait and see. I'm not jumping up and down for joy just yet. LOL!! :laughing:

Hmmm...it seems odd that they would verify your marital status... I agree that it sounds fishy...but I hope that it's not!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

:wave: That doesn't sound anything like a winning phone call to me. I can assure you that it was not from All You. Do you have the phone number that they were calling from? Since you have the phone number, I would do a google search of that number and see what comes up. Hope it all works out for you.

The only reason marital status would be important would be for a real estate transaction. The only possible "real estate" transaction is that your vacation is to a Time -Share destination and if you are married, your spouse must attend. The time-share hustle requires both husband and wife be present so the salesmen (notice I said more than one salesman) can press for a binding sale contract. I,ve done the 2 free nights in a nice condo in exchange for 2 1/2 hours of sales....but I'm pretty strong and my 1st hubby was very mello. My current hubby would just lose it all over them the first time they didn't take no for an answer. So... read carefully, and don't sign anything without a lawyer looking at it first :wave: :wave: :wave:
