On the plus side, we're saving $150 a month on cat food alone, not to mention flea treatments and other medical...I'll miss them all, but everything comes to an end.

I am so sorry to hear that your furry friends are gone. I know how much you loved them and that they brought you alot of comfort. They are going to have such a grand time chasing and catching those rats!
Are you able to get "out and about"...most cat rescue have a place, like PetsMart, where you can go and volunteer to hold, cuddle, feed, etc. the cats/kittens. I go once a week to one PetsMart to volunteer, for about two hours. That's all I can do, since I had my stroke four years ago. With your experience, it would make you a good volunteer, I bet. :sunny: Maybe you could "foster" one cat for a cat rescue place?

If you want to leave the horses here when you move to California you have to put the fences back up-we took them all down after my horse passed away in 1983.
