Ok, so last night I checked emails before going to bed. I found an email stating thank you for your purchase of a $75.00 gift card! ???
I never purchased one.. logged onto my Amazon Account, and there it was... A purchase for a $75 GC in the form of a printable one that I would be emailed to download... Right away I was on the phone to Amazon.. they told me it was made by a third party that some how got my password info.. Cancelled everything right away... Then this morning I got another email stating thank you for your purchase of a $200 GC. WTH... I cancelled my account so how was somebody able to buy another one... Called Amazon and they said my account was already closed so not to worry... Not to worry. Are you kidding me.. I'm guessing with all the sweeps I enter somebody out there is trying to scam us... Don't really know how they would of gotten the email notification so they could print it, but who knows... Oh, and also last week I woke up one morning and BAM! when I turned my computer on it had a virus. This is making me think twice about entering anymore sweepstakes!!

You can get a virus by using your computer whether or not you ever sweepstakes. Do you have an anti-virus program that is up-to-date? I have been entering sweeps on line for 6+ years and have never gotten a virus, from anything, let alone a sweepstake. Good luck with Amazon ... and your virus.

That happened to me with Amazon a few months ago - someone purchased Microsoft Office 2010 (it was over $250) but Amazon was very good about it and I got my money back.

Also, I don't think it is the Sweepstakes - it happens everyday to anyone - there are tons of scammers out there. I couldn't see how sweepstakes could be related to it since sweepstakes do not require your login information. I do not use the same email for Sweepstakes that I use for Amazon so I know it wasn't sweepstakes in my case.

 I would never use the same password for sweeping that I use for any of my personal accounts.
