It's one thing to ban members that really did cause trouble - it's another to ban innocent people who may have been caught in the crossfire (or had their accounts hacked/hijacked).

I even offered to send the webmaster a copy of my ID to prove who I am - but all my emails went unanswered.

I don't know the full story of what went on (I didn't post much on the forums and tried to stay away from any drama). I'm just at a loss as to why I was banned. The only thing I can think of is that I posted a vote request for the Amex sweep in potentially the wrong forum. I know I have never said a word about ANYONE on the other site.

Anyways - now I'm curious....what is the "sinner' site that is being mentioned? Is it this one? Is there another site that I'm unaware of?

I'll pm you the site, but it's of no use trying to find anything to read or even post. Everything has been pushed so far back by the person who is continuously submitting post after post of the same url in order to squash any attempts for people to talk freely. As I said before, I truly believe it's the webmaster and/or one or more of their mods.

There is little method to his madness, and frankly scary because they have your person information in their database. Those who still have an account should take out profile details. Also, rescue your p.m.s for stuff you need because nobody knows who will be next.

As far as the "sinner" et al. He seems to have disabled the site with nonsense posts, but people will go elsewhere because vent they must. Out of respect for the people who run this place, *do not* want to bring the drama here, so this will be my last post on the subject.

Thanks, sweepyhead. We know it has been difficult for many people who are/were impacted by things that have occurred elsewhere. The recent surge in visitors also suggests that some people from that site have stopped by to see what is happening here.

For the record, anyone is welcome to come sweep here. You can do your sweeping at several different sites if you like, that's fine with us. Our website is about sweeping, not drama. While you are here, please be respectful of others. We like our calm, friendly atmosphere and would prefer not to introduce turmoil and distraction that will upset our members.

If you are happier sweeping at another site, it's there waiting for you. If you are looking for a new sweeps home, or just want to have another sweeping community to visit, we're here.

Please ask any questions that you have while you are looking around. Our set-up is different, but we all access the same internet and have most of the same sweeps that other contest sites have. We also have great sweeps tools, wonderful members, and no costs.

Wherever you decide to do your sweeping, good luck to you all!

Maybe had they read the things that myself and numerous others read that were hurtful and spiteful, they would have a different perspective on the subject.

you are correct there are always 2 sides to a story and not everyone will understand where another is coming from. We here hope that one's experience is a great one where ever they may find themselves. Every site has things that a person likes and dislikes about there set-up. WE here are about friendship and having fun with sweepin, as that is what has brought us to this hobby. Hope everyone finds that Affy they have been waiting for good luck sweepin :smt006

pdmI'm from the other site and I have to say I like this site way better. Doesn't seem like it has nearly the drama as the other site does and from what I've read so far the people here are way more friendlier. I don't sweep I just mostly chat and rarely posted at the other site because it seemed to me if you didn't belong in a certain group you were mostly ignored. In this "thread," there has not been one particular name, or names, mentioned from that other site - not one, except those who were banned or left from the other site and gave their names.

It is to Sweepstakes Advantage credit that they don't dwell on drama or name calling or anything of that sort. I like it here - SA has become my family on the web.

To me, SA and their moderators or webmasters are angels :smt059 - and I'd like to keep it that way, forever....
