Yes, it is normal to ask for your ss# because you will have to pay taxes on it. They will send you a 1099 next year that you will have to claim on your income tax. It there is any doubt, is there a phone number that you can call? A lot of times the bank where you have an account will notarize free of charge. Good luck & congratulations!!!!!!!
