I have a few things yet to get..

Im really having a hard time getting motivated. I need to go to target and best buy today.. I cant keep putting it off. Traffic and crowds just make me want to scream.

are you done?
 
I didn't do Christmas shopping this year - Making candle holders. They are getting pretty cute!
 
Yep! Except for two things we already had for our daughter, I did it all a couple of nights ago on the internet. We only have my parents, an aunt, and our and my children. We only buy a few things for our children and only something that they could really use. Our daughter's was more for aiding in homeschooling.
 
The kids got out of school yesterday until after the New Year, so we waited until midnight and went to Wal-Mart last night and let them finish up. I finished mine up the other day. I actually have all of mine done that I am doing. With everything that we have been doing on the house I told the adults that they are getting GC's or money if they want it ~ lol! I was just worried about all of the little ones.

I started wrapping yesterday morning and got most of that done, except for a few presents that I am waiting on to arrive. I just hope that they get here in time!

I just got an email this morning from Barnes & Noble saying that my delivery was delayed. It will be another 1 to 5 business days. So, hopefully we get it on time; but I don't think our son will mind! :laughing:

I got one from one of my Amazon shippers saying the same thing. Thank goodness I had ordered a couple of other 'funkeys' for my nephew that have already gotten here. He will just get one after Christmas. I will put some markers and a little cutting tool that I had gotten him in his gift for now so it won't look so bad.
 
This christmas was hard. I was able to get stuff for Kailey, but nothing for me or Rocky. My mom came up with a good idea. We have a orange tree, so we are going to put some oranges in baskets, with kaileys school picture framed, and give those out for gifts. I know cheap. But hey its the thought that counts.

Rocky might still surprise me with a present, but hey I doubt it. The money we used, that we were going to use on christmas presents, we had to use on grocerys :cry: But hey at least were not hungry.

Part of its my fault. Last christmas I had a lot of good prizes I had won for christmas, this time nothing. Next christmas will be better. more sweeping.
 
Tiff ~ I would love that for a present! I think it is a great solution, and it is the thought that count if you feel you have to give a gift!
 
I was able to cover pretty much most of everything from prizes and searches--Amazon.com egift certificates, various gift cards, and swag bucks.

I have everyone using Prize Wish when they run a search, and it's the best bet as far as paying off.

I think its a good gift too. But the oranges look wierd. They are really yummy. But on the outside, they aren't pretty like they are at the stores. My mom says its because they dye the oranges at the store.

Actually, the FDA no longer allows dying. So, to get oranges to turn orange, they are exposed to ethylene gas while in storage which removes the chlorophyll layer.
 
Well, you can't get a good orange here on Kentucky Island anymore. Now during the summer I was able to buy clementines and they were so good and expensive, so I would be thrilled no matter what they looked like. Don't worry over something like that! Just be glad that you have that option!!
 
Yeah, we only took care of the kids this year. We did get my mom a little something which she already picked up and I sent some wins for my brother and sister. Other than that, we're done I guess.

Author EB White (Charlotte's Web) would be happy to get your oranges (this is from the 1940's when they still dyed them)

I have a few things to get - and I still have to wrap everything. Otherwise I am pretty much done. I didn't spend alot this year (I just don't have it!) and I mostly bought stuff for the kids in the family.
 
:wave: I still have some stocking stuffers to buy, and I am waiting on 2 packages from Amazon.
I have a 10. gift card to Toys R us which expires at the end of the month and have to get another
gift for one of my nephews, but it is always so crowded there, but I will go early tomorrow morning. :crazytongue:
Now if I can just get all the wrapping done....
