Bittersweet Garnier Fruitus Win!!!

Last night I won the Apple Ipod Nano and Armband $230. This win comes after two days of torment in our household. Our house got hit by a serious bolt of lightning. It fried all of our electronics through the phone, cable and electric lines (TVs, Computers, Phones, Stereos, Dishwasher, Dryer, etc.). Lucky for me, I had a dinosaur computer in the corner that I had not taken to charity yet. My daughter will get the Ipod, which cheered her up last night. A laptop and a TV she was going to take to college next week was among the things that got fried. I guess will we all get new electronics, it is just very emotional and stressful so close for the kids going back to school and of course the costs of getting estimates for the insurance company to get reimbursed.

Last week I also got my Sirius Satellite Radio that I won in June. They really loaded me up on that one. It included the Portable Radio, Car Kit, Boombox and Lifetime Service (the gift cards for the service even left me with a credit of $73 left on my Sirius account).

Well, here is to more happy days and getting new things.
 
Awww Im so happy for you. Whenever I hear someone won an ipod I get jealous. But you deserve it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im glad your all ok, that it was just electronics that was messed up. Those can be replaced.
 
Jerri, it's so great to hear that people win prizes that they can really use!! Hope you don't have any more lightning bolt hits like you described.
 
I'm glad you won the Apple Ipod Nano and Armband, and not the 99cent music download, like most of us. :)

Quite a story about the lightening and makes us aware of how much we depend on electricity for the everyday as well as our luxuries...getting harder to draw a line between the two. I hope you have some kind of insurance to help cover the losses so you can replace what you need the most. Stay safe!

So sorry to hear about your lightening strike that happened to me at our old house !!! It is a bummer be thakful no one was hurt appliances can be replaced !!!! CONGRAT :) :)S on your win
 
Congrats on the win! I love storms but have only been hit once by lightening and thank goodness it only blew out the TV! Just as long as none of you were hurt is a big blessing.
