I started entering blogs about a month and a half ago but haven't won anything. I think I'm doing something wrong. I just noticed today at the end of each entry I have been putting my e-mail but the others are doing it another way. I've been putting [email protected] and they put tdlsfm at yahoo dot com. What is the difference and does it matter? Any tips on winning? Thanks for any answers!!

That's exactly why I don't enter any blogs that don't have a regular form where the email address is hidden, not posted. I'd be more concerned at what may show up in my email from some nutcase somewhere than regular spam!

Entering blog contests take a little longer but your odds of winning are way higher. Especially if you find "new" blogs or ones that don't have a lot of followers. I win quite frequently on blogs & while most of my wins are for books or toys for my daughter, I've also won quite a few gift cards.
To find low-entry blogs, do a google blog search for "My First Giveaway" or for a specific prize you're interested in with the word "giveaway. (IE: Yoplait Greek Yogurt Giveaway) Most prizes are being given away on more than one blog at a time.
As far as spam goes, I get about 3 a day in the email account I use for blog entries. The email account I use for regular sweeps gets about 100 spam emails a day. Put your email like whatever(at)wherever(dot)com

I totally agree with Pixie13. I win ALL of the time on the blogs. A Flip Video camera, Keurig Coffee Maker and SodaStream Soda maker have been my big wins. I win gift cards ($100 Walmart and $100 Chefs Tools as well as many other smaller denominations) and books and toys and perfume and the list goes on & on. I am blessed and super lucky and PERSISTENT. By the way, Pixie13 has a fantastic blog that lists tons of blog contests and it is way beyond helpful (thanks for all of the work that you put into it Pixie13!!!!).

Plus, if you like books, you'd be surprised how few entries there usually are on book giveaways. Crazy, but I've seen book giveaways with less than 20 entries. And $100 GC giveaways with less than 100 entries.
