Bowl with Lebron Trip with Photos

Last Wednesday (10/13), we headed to Florida on our free flight from Sprite/Brunswick. Our trip included airfare, rental car, hotel and $100 spending cash. For the rental car, they actually sent us a check for $275 dollars towards the rental car, but we decide to use a taxi instead. Glad we did...only spent about $50 on taxis & were able to use the rest (in addition to the other $100 check) as spending cash.

They put us in the Hilton Beach Resort in Ft. Lauderdale...the room was absolutely awesome. Floor 25 (top floor), 1 bedroom suite was a nice jacuzzi tub. I could have never left the room and would have been perfectly happy.

And the wrap around balcony was so nice!

They also gave us free breakfast for both mornings at the hotel...which normally would have cost over $28 per person. The reps from Sprite left us a nice welcome letter in our room along with some cool freebies.

The following day was the "Lebron" day. We were to meet in the lobby with the other winners just before 2 pm. So we hit the beach for a few hours. The hotel was right across the road from the beautiful beach. The water was about 86 degrees and so nice and clear!

After getting some beach time in, we headed back to the room and got ready for the "event". Here I am getting pumped up to beat Lebron on the alley (and yes, that is a Cav's shirt...I am a Cleveland boy).

We met a representative from Coke Sweepstakes/Sprite down in the lobby and he gave us the "rundown" of events. Lebron was not going to be able to bowl due to leg cramps, but he'd still be there to interact with us. They even had a shuttle bus take us to the alley, which was about 1/2 hour away in Margate, FL.

Arriving at the alley, one of the first things I noticed was the big banner at the end of the lanes. How cool was that?

The took us into the lounge area for food and drinks (Coke products, of course!). There was so much food it was incredible. Representives from Coke and Brunswick were there and made us all feel like VIPS.

A little while later, Lebron arrived. He signed autographs for everyone and then it was time to bowl.

Since Lebron couldn't bowl, he gave out "Lebron Bucks" for stikes & spares...which later we redeemed for Brunswick Gift Cards. I ended up with $18. Poor wife got nothing.

Around 5ish, Lebron had to go, but we stayed and bowled for a little longer.

The entire time, the folks at Coke and Brunswick treated us like gold. We had a great time with them, and I think they had a great time too.

That night, we were treated to a beautiful rainbow and sunset from our balcony.

The trip was absolutely perfect. They had a professional photographer there and eventually they said they'd email us the photos. I give great props to both Brunswick and Coke for making us feel special, and my wife and I will have many great memories.
