Bridesmaid Gifts?

champagne

To be honest, I don't really want to give jewelry..... but my sister said I have to... it's tradition..... she said silver... silver seems cheap to me to give as a gift...... i wanted to give spa gift baskets or something??? Any ideas?

How many bridesmaids do you have and about how much are you wanting to spend? That may give us more of an idea of where to start...

I don't think jewelry is necessary ~ and I don't think that all presents have to be matching...

hi pingyyyyy... ummmm, i don't know if i'm having 4 or 5...... and as far as the amount... i never thought about it.... i was hoping no more than $100 a piece....... is that cheap?

$100 each is actually quite a bit. I think the spa gift baskets is a great idea. Don't forget to add aromatherapy candles and bath soaks. :sunny:

I think that is really really nice champ! You could always personalize by scent if you wanted to go with the spa baskets. Or treat each to spa treatments... I will see what else I can try to find...

Oh and as for groomsmen...... I don't want my fiance to do the flask thing.... I don't think that is cool .... to me, it's kind of saying that's who we are by giving away something to store your alcohol in... i don't know.... am I thinking too deep here?

You're welcome. I didn't have any money when I got married so they received handmade gifts that my mom took care of for me or I couldn't have even done those.

I always say, my next wedding (whenever I renew my vows) will be a much nicer wedding. Who knows when I can afford that though. I'll be married 12 years in January.

Good luck!

Well, I don't like the flask idea, but that may just be me...

we don't have alot of money either miki girl.... as i am the only one who works right now... but i just think that we should try and thank the ones who are going to be in the wedding gratefully.... like an honor.... that's what my sister said at least....

For the groomsmen, how about a gift to represent a hobby they have. Such as, say Joe loves to play pool, buy him an engraved pool stick with his name on it. Tom loves to play poker, buy him a nice poker set in a wooden box, etc. Then, maybe, a shot glass set with your wedding info on them?

Not sure, I don't think I would do the flask idea either.

You're welcome. Check out orientaltrading.com for some cheaper party favors with your personalized info on them. (Votive holders, shot glasses, bubbles, etc.) it might help you save some $$.

Thanks again miki... i actually have that site on my favorites for some good ideas.....

ping.... we decide no destination wedding  ... a few of my family members wouldn't be able to make it, so for our honeymoon we decided to go all out.... who chose Bali....... here is where we have put the deposit down for the ceremony/reception http://www.peachwoods.com/peachwoods.html

we are sticking with the caribbean theme.... island decor...

for under 10 get a little silver locket for the bridesmaids. I would do a cheap but cute and good teddy bear. If you were really lucky you could find a bridal gown for them or make one for each bear. A little bridal bear with a locket on its neck.
