Buying a new TV

I need to buy a new TV because mine just died and it doesn't look like I will win one yet. Does anyone have any suggestions for a large screen LCD TV? I looked up different brands but there are so many to pick from and I don't know which brand to go with. I know I want LCD because plasma run hot. Any opinions would be appreciated.
 
We just bought a Sony Bravia 40' LCD TV and we love it! It has the clearest picture on it. We stood at the store for hours going over the features and even though this one costs a little more, it was worth it in our opinion!
 
Hubby bought me the one he wanted, for my Christmas present. I'll let you know what he thinks. :cussing:

The Sony Bravias are great and they are on sale at Walmart. And they make great really big computer monitors, all you need is the correct cable :)

:headbang: wasn't it! :laughing: He doesn't understand why I snarl at him every time I see the darn box! :cussing: Now I will get to see that horrible DIY tool show in High Def! :cry: Not to mention all his cooking shows, Dirty Jobs, Survivorman and, who could forget How it's Made! :cry: Really, my life is nothing but a Reality Show nightmare! :cry:
 
Buy him a nice diamond necklace and ring to match!
 
:laughing: I went to his friend who is a jeweler today. I found a beautiful emerald and diamond pendant. I know he put it aside and called hubby for the credit card number! :laughing: It works every year. Oh honey, I broke my bracelet. Do you think you can call Mike and ask him to fix the clasp for me again. :laughing: Works like a charm, everytime. :laughing:

Thats' better than what my friend's husband bought on here. He bought his wife boobie oil, stockings and sexy underwear for Christmas and that was it.

She threw it away and didn't speak to him for 3 days. He got the hint :laughing:


On a TV, Cin, the best thing to do is look at them all at Best Buy or Circuit city and compare them side by side. Then you can get a better feel of what YOU like.

Except (at least at Best Buy, I don't know anybody who works at Circuit City) they adjust the brightness and contrast and so forth to make the TVs they want to sell look better :)
 
Thanks everyone. I will check out the Sony and maybe some jewlry while I'm at it. Oh and wolfie I also like all those TV shows. Especially Dirty jobs.

We went with the 50" Plasma Hitachi..... It is phenominal.... we love the picture..... And it's cheaper than the LCDs.... :sunny:

Ours came on one of those Huge Diesel Trucks (FRAGILE)..... We were soooooo excited.....
