HP had a recent laptop recall-mine has to go back for a new motherboard so I won't be sweeping for a couple of weeks 

Oh wow, its back-new motherboard, drives, display. I think all that is left of the original computer is the bottom panel :laughing: Roboform reinstalled perfectly so back to sweepin' :sunny:

The notebook issues a single beep during boot indicating no power.
The external monitor functions but there is no image on the notebook LCD panel.
