Bye Bye Laptop~snif~

 ohhhhh....i feel your pain...i know how hard it's going to be.... from experience...i couldn't do sweeps for about a week and a half, due to my computer needing another part....it was hard

ouch, I am still trying to figure out how to not do sweeps on vacation. I am not addicted NOPE

Most public libraries have computers for public use. There's no roboform, but at least you can try to keep up. That's what I did when my laptop had to go back for a new motherboard.

We'll miss you Red! :headbang:

I've been sick for a couple of weeks and missing ya and now this...talk about withdrawals!!! Be glad when you are back up and running with us ~ the board won't be the same! I won't have anyone to try to beat posting links with

I was just asking about you yesterday!

Wow! I have an HP Pavilion laptop - won it in June 2007 (thanks SA!) - how did you learn about your recall?

Inquiring minds want to know (especially SA members, addiction or not - repeat after me, "It's a hobby...It's a hobby...it's a hobby).

Kate

sooo

does that mean I can talk about you???

wait you know too much me. lol.

I do hope they get it back quickly. Tell that darling man who is in your house to rig you up a keyboard. He's bright, so I know he can do SOMETHING!!

I motherboard recall is extremely rare, I covered the notebook industry for 5 years and saw such a thing only a few times. The battery issue is of course much more common of late, but at least with that all you have to do is send the battery back in.

Oh wow, its back-new motherboard, drives, display. I think all that is left of the original computer is the bottom panel  Roboform reinstalled perfectly so back to sweepin' :sunny:

As soon as my roommate wakes up and can show me where it is (he handles the technical stuff around here, what with having been on the team that develped this "computer graphical interface" thing we're all using :headbang:) I'll post the link to the recall. If your HP laptop is doing anything wonky though, do call the company. We only found out about it when we called because the modem failed. I had not received any notices or anything. I have to say, they sure repaired it. They almost totally replaced it

Here ya go! :sunny:
