Charge for inactivity on gift card

I received a $25.00 gift card from Sea Cuisine's Upgrade Your Taco promo on Dec. 27. I used some of it on Jan. 23. I just went in to check my balance and found that on Jan. 6 (less than two weeks after receiving the card and before I had used it the first time) I was charged for inactivity in the amount of $2.95! Boy am I glad I didn't try to use the entire card on my first purchase! Apparently the card was initially released to Sea Cuisine in April of 2014, so that might explain the inactivity.

Would you notify Sea Cuisine about this or is this one of those "just forget about it" situations?
 
I *always* let a sponsor know - I figure it's part of our "job" as sweepers in a BETA tester sort of way to provide feedback.

As to those charges, I had my 1st VISA prepaid gc win get eaten up by them back in 2006/2007 But, because I had no clue they did that, I contacted the sponsor & they reissued me a card!
