I found out this morning that my dh is one of the 10 finalist in the Irwin "Tell Us Your Vise Grip Story" Sweepstakes. . This would mean that at the very least, Paul won a Tool bag of Vise-Grip pliers and wrenches (contents of tool bag determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion). ARV: $550. What an excellent prize – I know that Paul will make good use of his new tool bag filled with Irwin goodies! I think he is still in the running for the top 3 & a trip to New York - A huge Thank You to all who voted for him!

Also found a nice surprise package at my gate. I won a Freeze 24-7 Freeze & Go Instant Smoother & Brightener (ARV $65.00) from Lucky Breaks - Be on the look out - they gave away 308 of these!

Broken Break Line Did Not Result In A DNF

The Baja 500 is one of the most grueling races in the world. Many years almost half the teams who take the green flag, fail to cross the finish line for the checkered flag. A “Did Not Finish” is every team’s haunting nightmare. I remember one Baja 500 race I participated in was almost cut short when a brake line failed. However, I was able to use my Irwin Vise-Grip to crimp off the faulty line and maintain pressure on the remaining three brakes. Our team was able to rally and finish that arduous race!

That was my husband's story!

and yes, win does feel awesome in the pocket book!
 
Congrats! I hope he wins. I know SA has a lot of great people that voted for him, I know I did. Bring me back a shot glass from New York! woo hoo! lol
 
That is a great story. I apologize for not knowing that was your hubby's story, some how I missed out on that. But I wish you the best and I hope his story wins!
