WoW! Awesome trip! I only had to pay 10% tax on my Super Bowl party trip that I won from Miller Lite last year. It wasn't that much and was well worth it. I had everything I could ask for even got a free room upgrade from the hotel just by asking for it. I hope you go.....you'll have a great time!! Congrats! :cheers:
 
Take the trip! Sell the tickets to the SuperBowl and you can probably make a killing! Take the money you make for your spending money to Miami and you'll still have plenty of money left in which to pay your taxes and probably buy yourself a nice big TV.
 
Before you turn down the trip, keep this in mind:

My husband won Superbowl tickets from Doritoes last year. We were in the 3rd to the last row. The face value of the tickets were $800 each. However, we could not find anyone around us that paid face value. Everyone, I mean everyone, paid at least $2,000 for their tickets. We asked. I say go...it was awesome!! Don't forget that you also get to see the Who play live.
 
Thank's to all who gave advice on this win, but it looks like it is go, or don't go. As per the rules, I can't sell or even give the tics away.(Tickets are awarded pursuant to a revocable, nontransferable license that is personal to that winner and may not be sold, resold, auctioned, bartered, assigned, exchanged, placed in commerce, transferred, given away, donated, or otherwise conveyed.) However, I do live close enough to drive down (about 6 Hrs. away) So, I might just do that. I will have to call them and see if that is an option. I have until Mon. eve to accept.

Lots of great advice on the ARV and taxes. If you drive instead of fly, maybe that would reduce the ARV significantly.

Congrats on your win. Please make sure to pack a few pieces of warm clothing, we have been pretty cold. As for the taxes, yes you will be taxed on the trip and on anything over 599.00. Talk to a tax professional and have a wonderful time. :wave:
