damaged prize?

Maybe someone can tell me...is it politically correct or acceptable to send a return email to let them know that my prize arrived damaged? I won the designer bag from lucky. It has these clasps/locks that hold the strap on the bag but only one side will lock. The other won't fit in the slot to lock it in. What should I do. I won't be able to carry the bag the way it is. Thanks for any and all advice. Mary
 
sorry it was damaged.. I would contact them and let them know it was damaged. I dont see a problem with doing that.

I won a micro-frig from Pepsi.
It came with the engine broken and out
Of it’s case.

When I called them they were very helpful
And sent a replacement almost immediately.
 
I would definitely contact them. Most prizes are shipped using carriers like UPS, FedEx, etc and have insurance anyway if it was damaged in shipping. Is it something that was damaged in shipping or is it just a defective item? Anyway...good luck and don't feel bad about it.
 
:sunny: Congratulations on your win! Sorry it was defective. By all means contact them to let them know. I have contacted sponsors in the past and they are always good about making it right.
