DG Our Pets, Our Heroes

I received a Dollar General gift card of unknown $$$ today in the mail. It says it is from the "Our Pets, Our Heroes" promotion. I remember entering not too long ago -- you had to write a little essay about your pet. But I can't find the promotion on here anywhere and I have no idea how much the gc is for. There isn't even a phone number on the card. The only way to find out is to buy something at DG and have the cashier give me the balance remaining. I guess I'll go buy something little and find out what I've got!
 
Just googled it and found this:

A grand prize winner in each category will receive $5,000. In addition, four $1,000 first prizes will be awarded and four $250 second prizes.

I also received a GC from that sweeps. When I checked it there was something that said they were also giving $25.00 GC. I am assuming that is what mine is but, haven't gone to the store to check the balance. There was no phone # listed, that you could call and check, so a trip to the store is in order.
 
I'm considered the google master around here and I didn't find anything when I googled. Thanks for your help. Can't wait to find out what I've got, but I would think that since it came without any prior notice that it is not the big sum.
