Do you remember your first win? opcorn:

Mine was the Summer of 85' I was 13 years old.

It was the radio station Gulf 104 in Tallahassee. I was the correct caller.

I won a Coke Sweepstakes Summer Pack - Cooler, Towel,T Shirt, Beach Ball, soda, and Sun Glasses.
and 2- Beach Boys Concert Tickets :sunny:

Mine was a Boyds Bear pin. From The Contest Lady. You had to share your favorite New Year's Eve tradition. "Mom and I make a homemade Italian Sausage bread and we all sit around the TV watching The Godfather Saga." Every year. It's a tradition in my house, don't know exactly why they show The Godfather movies on New Year's Eve. But, it's become a tradition over the years.

By the way, I went to that Beach Boys concert back then. John Stamos was touring with them playing the drums.!!!!!!! I loved the 80's! It was AWESOME! :headbang:

I started sweeping about two years ago and my first win was a bottle of perfume that I won from a lucky magazine sweepstakes....I was sooooo excited.

I actually still have the perfume, I think I will probably keep that bottle forever

Once that bottle of perfume arrived on my parents doorstep, I was officially in love with sweepstakes

Closest to the pin at the 4th of July golf contest when I was a teen. I chose to tee off from the men's tee {further back but MUCH higher!} and I used a 5 iron, while the adults kept saying I HAD to use a wood.

Yep-I was four years old-won a blue ribbon at the local park/kids summer program for first place in the "6 yr old and under" dance contest. Did the twist! (And yes, I still have that blue ribbon....) :laughing:
As I recall, I was also awarded an ice cream prize. :crazytongue:

I started sweeping 10 years ago and my first win was a $10. card code for Disney on-line, I won it on Christmas morning and was so shocked I just stared at the screen. All I saw was a mitten rubbing ice off a window and the Congratulations appear.

My first win was January of this year. It was through the synovate survey company. I was drawn as their $500 prize winner for December and I got a set of Calaphon stainless steel pots and pans. That win is what got me sweeping... I figured if I could get lucky in their drawing (and I had never won anything else in my life!!) I should try my luck in sweeps. I love it!!

I was at Ft. Bragg, NC with my husband and 2 small children. (2yr & 1yr) and my husband got talked into buying some
encyclopedias..
I was trying to learn to coupon and was looking for every coupon and handout paper in base commisary.
It was their so many years contest of the year 1969 in that commisary magazine.. it was the year '89
I used those (blankety, blank) encyclopedias to answer all those questions about the year 1969.
Now, I had left my husband a week or two after that (personal reasons) and back in Tennessee..
I received a forwarded letter with $1,969 check from that contest.
But, did not even realize to continue sweepstaking or anything until years later.

If we are going to go that far back, it was a radio station win- ski tickets to a nearby ski mountain and I did not ski. I also was about 12 and, therefore, did not drive. My dad wouldn't have taken me to get the tickets OR to the mountain to ski. I never picked up the tickets.
