Does anyone own a Motorola Razr, Krzr, or Slvr?

I am looking at getting a new cellphone and have been looking at the Motorola Razr, Krzr, and Slvr. Has anyone owned one or more of these and do you have an honest opinion on them? My daughter has a Razr and loves hers, but a friend of mine hated the one that she had.

It seems for everyone that really likes a phone there is someone out there that hates it just as much!! Just let me know!

We have Razr's that we got for free with the plan, but we really don't use them for any more than texting and making calls on them. We really don't have much use for all the other stuff on it. Plus, when you want to do something or find something under one of the categories, it seems like it can be a pain in the butt.
 
Do they get pretty good reception though?
 
I think that has to do with the service. When my husband is out on the very tip of the Island, he gets knocked off alot of times. I've also lost service in spots when I go up to Pennsylvania.
 
We have terrible service around here ~ but it does seem like some phones do a lot better. I have had 2 Nokias that have gotten good reception and I want to make sure that I can get at least that good reception with the next one!!

We have Verizon Wireless right now, and they're way too expensive; and you can't always rely on guaranteed service in some areas. We definitely have to change our service. You have to factor in where the towers are and which ones they're bouncing off of and how far some of these towers are from the area you're trying to use the phone. Some services work better for others. It just depends on the area you're living.
 
Well around here there is pretty much AT&T/Cingular the rest don't really count. They are actually advertising for people to put towers on their land. They just don't have enough around her to get good signals right now...maybe soon though!
 
I really like my RAZR. I haven't had a bit of problems w/ it in the 2 yrs. I've had it. It takes really good pictures too!
 
Ive had my RZR for almost 2 years and I LOVE it...I have never had a problem with it...I live in rural ND and I have VERIZON and have had no trouble with my reception and we have limited towers around here...but they are putting more up all the time! It honestly has been the best cell phone I have ever had...now my mom has one and she has had problems with hers but I think that is because my daughter had it most of the time and wasnt very carefyl with it and has messed it up quite abit!
 
I have the Razr and i like it . when i first got it i was having alot of trouble with picking up other people's phone calls, and they looked into it and something was wrong with the number of bars, so they replaced it with a new sim card and I never had another problem.
when i went to Mexico, I couldn't get any reception at all. but, over all the reception is good.
I like it.

If you ever go out of country like that again, you can rent a special cell phone from your wireless provider. It will be set up with your regular cell phone number and all, but you will be able to call out and receive calls. We got one when we went to Germany.
