Early thoughts on pinterest sweepstakes?

Just curious to hear what my fellow sweepers think of pinterest sweepstakes so far.

I just created an account and started entering. It seems that most of the sweepstakes on there have fairly low entries, so you have a good shot of winning. But it seems like pinterest sweepstakes have A LOT of steps and if you are not very careful, your entry might not even qualify.
 
:scratch: I don't really understand it. Just seems like a time waster and more of a bookmarker for things that you like. Unless you have a particular hobby or event that you have coming up and need ideas, I don't see any real point to it.
 
I think I have entering down well enough, and the odds seem good. Whether I am going to be very lucky with them is yet to be seen!
 
I have entered a couple, haven't won any but they are VERY time consuming. Especially if they don't make them easy, for instance having the pin it button next to all the images. Then you have to save the files and pin them that way (At least I did) unless there is an easier way??? I have stopped entering them. Also I entered one from GUESS and they BLOW UP my inbox with spam, everytime someone posted on the same post or pinned the same pin. I received literally HUNDREDS of spam e-mails per day, very frustrating. Not really worth it in my opinion.
 
I've done one or two, but I'm not sure if I'll do anymore. Like others have said, it's really not worth it. And I actually have friends following me on Pinterest and I know they really don't want to see me adding all these boards just to enter some sweep.
 
Lol, the consensus seems pretty much the same--no one seems to like pinterest.

I'll be sure to let y'all know if I win anything from a pinterest sweeps.

@urbancwgrl, on pinterest's site you can download a "pin it" button to your toolbar and this makes every image on the internet pinnable.

It's not that I don't like them, it's just that I don't wish to join yet another site, especially when I have no use for what they offer, just to enter sweeps :sunny:

It's not that I don't like them, it's just that I don't wish to join yet another site, especially when I have no use for what they offer, just to enter sweeps :sunny:

I have a little extra time or make extra time...but it is time consuming! It's fun though too....something different! :sunny:

When you signed up for Pinterest, did they explain how to place a "Pin it" button on your toolbar? That is the key. Once you have the "pin it" button, virtually any image you see on the internet (with the exception of facebook images for some reason) can be pinned. When you see something you like, just click your "pin it" button, and you will usually be taken to a whole page of potential pins, with your selection being the first choice. Hover over that picture with your cursor and the words "pin it" will appear, and you click the words "pin it" and it will take you to your account, you then choose what board you want the pin in. Hope this explanation makes sense!
 
Same here - I signed up, checked it out (I'm pretty technical so details don't bother me) and decided it's just too much time to enter. At first I wasn't going to sign up, but I thought I might as well evaluate - well, I did and I'm not playing, just like I won't enter blog contests that give you 1000 ways to earn entries - the time factor just doesn't make sense to me.
 
What was it.. the Kate Spade scooter thingy.. asked for pinterest invite.. then did not have any clue how or what they
were talking about.. lol :scratch:

well no twitter for me ... I'm way behind. I need to figure out a twitter account issue that says I'm already signed up,
but does not never let me into twitter.
 
I BARELY have time to check my FB account AND do sweeps AND check my email..etc.I don't have a maid,cook or laundress,so to join something else to do what I'm happy with doing here is to me just a huge waste of time, my house would never get clean and my husband would fire me...lol!
