Feeling sorry

Thanks for the warm welcome and Rexi thanks you too.

Why would "the other site" have 2000 new members in less than a week? Is it that interesting?

Does Rexi enter sweeps as well? I don't recall any rules compelling the entrants be human. :)

I don't know what's up with their membership. As for being banned, you can be banned for a good reason, or little reason or no reason. Whichever way the wind blows, so goes ZZZ.

Whatever. All the sweeps are free here, and every one of their premium sweeps is available here or elsewhere.

Yes, Rexi enters for all pet supplies and dog food. Well, I enter for her. She has gotten some free food from the freebies listed at times. Of course I do all her typing. ;)

I know everything is free here. I have been here since sometime in 2006 on and off. I do not enter everyday. I would probably win more if I did of course.

I was just wondering about the other zzz place because I have lurked here for a while and have seen a couple of threads that were all about the other one.

All this talk of the jump in membership made me wonder why. Why bother with it. So many of you say they are so mean and spiteful. If it were me, I would just not even bother. Life is too short to worry about such things. Right?

It seems nice here though.

It is very nice here and sorry it took you so long to feel confortable to post but glad you are now.

I think for me I just have a hard time with people treating others so badly and I don't know why the increase in numbers.

Life is too short so why do some take pleasure in bullying others around.

I have 2 dogs but I enter for them and so far no wins.

Thanks for the warm welcome. :) I thought we need cookies to enter sweeps. Some do not let me enter unless I am accepting cookies. Do cookies really interfere with the computers? I dump them everyday and (knock on wood) I have not had issues, well, issues with my computer. Everyone has issues, right.

There are different types of cookies. Most are harmless, or even useful (they allow a site to "remember" you the next time you log on, speeding your entry process)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_cookie

But I just checked my cookies and I have cookies from here. This site never hurt my computer. Do you keep your cookies turned off and re-sign in every time you come here?

Any who.. I have a meeting right now about my son. See you all later. :)

I bake cookies and eat cookies but I ain't enabling cookies  sonds like a personal problem to me when you enable them are you controlling them.

rexi I was just wondering have you ever visited the other site? And if you have what is your opinion of the members? There are several sweeps sites out there and I know from my experience this site offers a great amount of sweeps and you don't have to pay for the premiums that you do there. Yes they tell you it's for the organization but if that's the case do the non paying members get unorganized sweeps?

All I know is that on occasion some of the members from that site have come over here to ask why do we care if we're not there? My answer to that is because we can talk here openly without fear of being banned. When I was a member there I just got attacked constantly. I just honestly feel bad for people who get attacked just for trying to maybe make a few friends.

So again glad you feel like you can post now after a year and hopefully you will check out and post in more threads.

Best of luck to you and your dog :)

All cookies are not the same. Enabling third party cookies means basically turning your security off :error:. First party cookies, like the ones you need to log in to this site, are fine.
If you place that other site in your trusted sites file (or exceptions file) then it can do absolutely anything-allow the website to download any code it wants to-anything, in the universal sense-which means the site owner could put any kind of virus, any kind of malware, delete all of your files, use your system as part of a bot network, put any virus on your system....I do not feel comfortable with that, esp. when the owner is prone to having odd fits. :cussing: I like Ken just fine, but I don't have this site in my trusted sites file either (no offence)
I know somebody who's dog won a guitar once :crazytongue: I wish my cats would win guitars....but I just can't train the durn things to enter for themselves

Rexi ~ welcome!! I thought I would give you my opinion on the other site and why people are so interested still in what is going on over there ~ many, many of our members came from there and have invested months and years of their time on the forums. When you spend that much time with the people you form really strong bonds, real friendships and you then worry about those people when you leave or get banned. It is hard to watch people that you love get treated badly, and people do over there just for stating their opinions.

As long as people keep it nice we try to let people have their say. We want everyone to feel welcome and to come here and know that they have a voice! Our Admin, Ken and Diane, interact with our members on a daily basis and will answer questions in a timely manner. You will be treated like a human here. Our Mods are the same ~ we are very active in the forums and we want you to be able to approach us with any problems you encounter! We are only human and might have a different opinion at times, but we always try to be fair! We try to what is best for the site.

With that being said, I am so glad that you have went from lurker status to forum poster! Hope you like Chocolate Sweepstakes & Giveaways

Gosh, so much to answer.
I have checked out the other site because I enter sweeps. I am not actively participating but I am not super active on any site.

I have a kid, husband, a home and tons of other things to deal with in the real world so the virtual world is not top on the list of daily activities.

Who am I? LOL Well, who are you champagne? I am Judi. Nice to meet you. I have been here on and off since mid 2006. I lurk in the forums once in a while. I enter sweeps when I have time. I love to cook. I have a 16 year old kid who drives me nuts.

I posted because I have read a bunch of these kinds of threads and I wanted to join in for a bit today. I had a little time but not much. I was having my coffee this morning and kind of thought... well what the heck, just post.

My opinion of the other site? Not much of an opinion really. At least not my own. I have read what the members here have said but I was not active there so I have not had the experience to form a valid opinion.

I have belonged to different forums and watched people get in disagreements over opinions. When you have more than one person involved in anything you get varied opinions. I left the PTA because of politics. I could not stand some of those women.

I have to cook dinner now. CYL

 Judi  and  to you too rexi!!!

Tammy covered why some of us (yes, me too  ) are a little touchy about discussions on zzz - and why some of us still have trust issues - please don't take it personally!!! :)

It took me a looooooooooong time to not flinch and wonder what I could have done wrong  every time I got a pm, but everyone here has been so honest and open with me, it no longer bothers me. :)

I know it's difficult for anyone who has not personally experienced what we went through to comprehend some of our reactions/responses, but those that have come here from there and now call SA "home" are all good people - please don't write us off, OK?

Ask Amy, she can create more personalities for you than anyone else! :headbang: I didn't realize that I had a multiple personality disorder until she started up in my head! :headbang:

Sometimes I think Amy IS a personality disorder! But seriously, I know I don't have a personality disorder. And neither do I.

Oh sure inthesticks, he'll talk to/about me, but you still won't!!!

I'm sorry Amy ~ I've been MIA today or I would have talked to you!!! You should have played "take Wolfie's sentence out of context" ~ THEN we all would have been quoting you for weeks!!!

Wow, now you have an imaginary playmate named Amy too!

You two need to have a good ole smack down!!

Oh goody - I still have my whistle and red/yellow cards from when I refereed volleyball - I'll make sure it's a clean fight  :crazytongue:
