Giving your prize away as a gift. :love:Do you think that is ok. :nono:

For example I just won a Autographed book by Tony Dungy about being a leader and mentor. I would like to give it to one of my boss's who is been like a mentor to me. Is that alright.

And I would like to give the recent $50 gift card win from Panera to his wife.

I would appreciate some feedback so I can decide a bit easier.

Thanks a TON!!

Just my humble opinion here..As long as none of the prizes have your name on them I don't see a problem with it!! :) If the gift card has something like "winner" on it just explain when you give it as a gift that you wanted to share your winnings!!! I see it as being very unselfish and I give my winnings away all the time!!

My family loves getting some of my winnings for Christmas.

They can never guess what they are getting so it is truely a surprise!

:sunny: With all the time and work we spend sweeping, we have earned those prizes! They don't need to know that you won it. My friends and family are always delighted to see what they might be getting from me. There definitely is nothing wrong with it. Some of my family even tell me what they would like me to win for them!

Thanks for all of the responses. I will definitely give as gifts. Plus we all usually enter contests with great prizes anyway.

I just recently gave the Krups Espresso Machine w/frother than I won from HGTV (value of $200) to my daughter. Normally, we spend $50 on our kids for their birthday, so I told her that if she decided to eBay it (they do a lot of that), then anything she made above $50.00 was mine. She has already used it and loves it -- and is craigslisting her old one.

I give many of my prizes to family or friends as "just because I love you" gifts. I tell them upfront that I won them - they keep asking me to enter more contests!

As a side note, anytime someone I know well hears of a contest, they ask me to enter it, because they say I'm lucky. I just remind them I'm persistent! :)
